Esses efeitos dizem respeito às transformações ocorridas na região e na vida dessas pessoas desde o ano de 1992, quando tomaram conhecimento a respeito da possibilidade da construção de uma barragem na sua região. O intuito deste trabalho foi o de analisar a forma de organização espacial e social das comunidades atingidas, e até que ponto, os efeitos já influenciaram o funcionamento do espaço físico e social do trabalho, e das relações sociais. / This dissertation aims to analyze the effects of the project Cachoeira da Providência Powe Station over the rural population. Those effects include the changes in the region environment and in people s lives that have occured since 1992, when they took notice of the possibility of been constructed a dam in their region. The aim of this work is, therefore, to analyze the space and social organization of the affected communities and in what extent the effects have influenced the work physical and social space and also the social relationships in there. / Dissertação importada do Alexandria
