Σκοπός ήταν η κατασκευή ενός συστήματος, το οποίο έχει την ικανότητα να διακρίνει τα αυτοκίνητα από όλα τα αλλά αντικείμενα που εντοπίζονται κατά τη διάρκεια μιας πορείας με αμάξι. Αυτό επετεύχθη με τη χρήση μεθόδων εξαγωγής χαρακτηριστικών, και συγκεκριμένα κυματίδια Haar και φίλτρα Gabor. Η ταξινόμηση έγινε με τη χρήση νευρωνικών δικτύων και μηχανές διανυσμάτων υποστήριξης (Support Vector Machines - SVM). / The subject of this diploma thesis is the manufacturing of a driver assistance system. Robust and reliable vehicle detection from images acquired by a moving vehicle (i.e., on road vehicle detection) is an important problem with applications to driver assistance systems and autonomous, self-guided vehicles. The focus of this diploma is on the issues of feature extraction and classification for rear-view vehicle detection. Specifically, by treating the problem of vehicle detection as a two-class classification problem, we have investigated several different feature extraction methods such as wavelets and Gabor filters. To evaluate the extracted features, we have experimented with two popular classifiers, neural networks and support vector machines (SVMs).

This thesis deals with the estimate of damage of an automobile caused during a car accident with no injuries involved. A significant part of my work consist of a sociological research, a proceeding during a car crash a fleet analysis and protocols from a programme called Audatex. The outcome is a brochure - "How to manage a car accident - with detailed description how to estimate the damage caused by the crash"

The theme of the diploma thesis will be analyzing of a specific road sections with high accident rates on public roads in the Zlin region with the emphasis of decreasing the number of traffic accidents. The materials and valuable informations will be obtained in cooperation with the Police of the CR - Department of traffic police or by examination of selected sections. The main criteria for selecting of the hazardous sections, is the amount of the accidents in the selected sections which will be thoroughly analyzed. Based on the analysis of the accidents in the critical sections will be proposed administrative and constructional solutions, leading to the increased safety of the selected sections of the roads. The results of the diploma thesis are primarily designated for Police of the CR and local authorities where it can be put in effective use.

The diploma thesis deals with the cost assessment of the rescue of vehicles over 18 tonnes of weight after a traffic accident on a motorway. It analyzes the factors which influence the cost of vehicle rescue and on their basis it sets out the methodology for calculating the unit price for one hour of work of emergency rescue vehicles.

Car collisions are, unfortunately, not uncommon and cause 1.35 million deaths each year worldwide. Children are often occupants in cars and to ensure their safety, child restraint systems (CRSs) have been developed. However, CRSs need to be used correctly to be efficient. Several studies, such as field investigations and Q-dummy tests, have shown that a misuse of a CRS can increase the risk of injuries. Typical misuses for a forward-facing CRS and a booster seat, with two real accident parameters, were constructed and simulated using the PIPER child human body model. The kinematics of each case were compared with injury parameters of the head, neck and abdomen. Comparing the parameters to existing injury criteria showed that most of the cases end in AIS3+ head injury, even cases with no misuse. When comparing the results of misuses to the cases where the CRS was correctly used, the dominant result was that misuse resulted in being less effective to protect the child. Moreover, results of chosen misuses compared to Q-dummy tests correlated with their results. Results from this thesis illustrate how important it is for parents to restrain children and route the belt correctly.

This master thesis analyses the critical places on the road I/11 in the Frydek-Mistek region in the stretch Ropice-Bystrice. The aim of this master thesis is to suggest the organization and building arrangements, which raise the safety of the traffic in the chosen dangerous places. The suggested arrangemetns are chosen so that they could be used in pratice.

In the Diploma thesis is analysed several specific car accidents locations in the district Jihlava. The aim of this thesis is to create the organizational and technical proposals in selected areas to minimize the possibility of car accidents in frequent locations and increase safety on the road. All measures are proposed with regard to possible use in practice.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of driver education and practice safe, dangerous and aggressive driving. The aim is to map the issue of safe and defensive driving and define the principles of defensive driving. The first part deals with the theory of defensive driving, which analyzes psychologically and legally sides of that problem. Another part deals with road safety, which is described in the context of direct and indirect indicators of road safety. The research then analyzes in detail the specific situation on the road that leads to accidents. This analysis is performed on based data of real accidents. Of particular situations accidents are then defined the principles of defensive driving.

The theme of this master’s thesis is The Issue of the Competence of Drivers of Motor Vehicles to Drive on the Roads of the Czech Republic. It includes an analysis of the current state legislative requirements for obtaining professional qualifications of drivers, health qualification and improves their professional competence for the purposes of professional competence and analysis of selected specific road safety. In light of the findings was performed the analysis of traffic accidents in the Czech Republic. Based on the analysis of traffic accidents was the practical part of a questionnaire survey and proposals aimed at improving safety on the roads.
