However, the soils of black soil of the indians, contains high content of P which may be linked to the high levels of biochar (BC), which guarantees fertility for many years. Based on, the object this work was to evaluate the effect of doses of BC combined with doses of P on morphological parameters of castanheiras of seedlings, and soil chemical atributes. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse at Campus III of the National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA), at Manaus-AM, Using a dystrophic Yellow Latosol, clayey texture. The design was completely randomized blocks in factorial arrangement 5 x 5, with five doses of BC (0, 20, 40, 60 e 80 t/ha-1) and five doses of P2O5 (0, 100, 200, 300 e 400 kg/ha-1), totaling 25 treatments, 4 replicates and 100 experimental units. The biometric parameters (plant height, stem diameter, leaf number and shoot dry matter - MSPA) were not positively influenced by the treatments tested, although it was observed in analysis of variance that the P2O5 doses Caused an increase in the MSPA in the absence and at the maximum dose of Biocarvão, however, the last measurement showed a negative effect with the increase of the doses of BC. When the five measurements were analyzed, it was noticed that the application of 20 t of BC isolated, provided height of the plants over time greater or equal to the treatments where BC was applied with P2O5. There were no significant differences in the number of leaves of Castanheira-dobrasil. The absence of more evident responses may be a reflection of nutrient adsorption by biochar, since the treatments were significant for soil chemical attributes, favoring Al neutralization and consequently increasing pH, as well as showing a significant ... / Doutor
