Durant les périodes archaïque et classique, les cités-États de Chypre ont été influencées par des civilisations extérieures, notamment par les Phéniciens, les Égyptiens, les Grecs et éventuellement les Assyriens. Dans ces années extrêmement riches en sculptures de calcaire, les représentations féminines sont nombreuses. Très peu de textes existent sur la condition des femmes et sur leur place dans la société chypriote. Ce travail vise à analyser ces représentations féminines pour comprendre davantage le rôle des femmes à ces époques et de visualiser si ces représentations ont des différences régionales. En observant les différents bijoux, offrandes et coiffures, cette étude s'intéresse à la statuaire chypriote féminine à travers quatre royaumes du sud-est de Chypre : Amathonte, Idalion, Kition et Salamine. / During the Archaic and Classical periods, the city-states of Cyprus were influenced by foreign civilizations, particularly the Phoenician, Egyptian, Greek, and possibly the Assyrian. In those times, numerous limestone sculptures were made representing many female representations, but only very few texts on the condition of women and their place in Cypriot society were preserved. This work aims to interpret these feminine representations, to better understand the role of women during those periods, and to investigate whether these representations have shown regional differences. This study analyse the various jewels, offerings, and headgear of the Cypriot female statuary across four different kingdoms in southeastern Cyprus: Amathus, Idalion, Kition and Salamis.
