Foram analisados os incentivos governamentais às empresas que atuam na África – com ênfase nas visitas presidenciais, feiras de negócios, cooperação técnica para a África, mecanismos de proteção ao investimento, a Política de Desenvolvimento Produtivo, perdões de dívida e o financiamento estatal, por meio do BNDES -, os atrativos locais do continente em geral e dos quatro destinos especificamente e as motivações das empresas – com as contribuições da Marcopolo e Petrobras. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This master thesis aims to understand the causes of the growing presence of Brazilian companies during Lula da Silva tenure (2003-2010), in particular the choice of the main destinations of these companies in Africa, namely, South Africa, Angola Libya and Mozambique. The main issues analyzed were government incentives to companies operating in Africa were analyzed - with emphasis on presidential visits, trade fairs, technical cooperation to Africa, investment protection mechanisms, the Productive Development Policy, debt relief and state financing through BNDES - the local attractions of the continent in general and specifically the four destinations and motivations of companies - with contributions from Marcopolo and Petrobras.
