El cine animado en el Perú es una empresa muy difícil de realizar, pero a pesar de ello, existen productores que aún persisten en hacer realidad su pasión de hacer contenido animado de calidad en el país, como es el caso de la película Condorito, basado en una historieta gráfica creada desde hace 70 años por el chileno René Ríos Boettiger (1911-2000) ‘Pepo’. Una historieta que cuenta con una inmensa popularidad tanto en toda Latinoamérica como en Estados Unidos y Canadá, vendiendo mil trescientos millones de ejemplares al año. Este trabajo brinda antecedentes del cine animado en el Perú, también describe la búsqueda de financiamiento, la producción y distribución de este filme que fue una coproducción entre Perú, Chile y México. Además, de entrevistas a los realizadores para que detallen los problemas que tuvieron que superar y llevar a la pantalla grande esta película que tuvo un costo de ocho millones de dólares, siendo calificada como el filme animado más costoso del país. / Animated cinema in Peru is a very difficult undertaking to carry out, but despite this, there are producers who still persist in making their passion of making quality animated content come true in the country, as is the case of the film Condorito, based in a graphic cartoon created 70 years ago by the Chilean René Ríos Boettiger (1911-2000) 'Pepo'. A cartoon that has an immense popularity both throughout Latin America and in the United States and Canada, selling 1,300 million copies a year. This work provides antecedents of animated cinema in Peru, it also describes the search for financing, the production and distribution of this film that was a co-production between Peru, Chile and Mexico.
