En 1989, se creó el distrito de Los Olivos lo que llevó a rediseñar los límites entre los distritos de San Martín de Porres, Independencia y Comas. Sin embargo, debido a descuidos en el proceso de delimitación, la falta de actualizaciones a leyes preexistentes y desconocimiento masivo sobre cuándo la carretera Panamericana Norte modificó su ruta, esta situación dio lugar a "confusiones limítrofes" que perduran hasta la fecha. Esta investigación se enfocó en los elementos que impulsan el conflicto, examinando confusiones en la delimitación actual y dinámicas sociopolíticas entre los actores. Finalmente, se determinó que la presencia municipal y su efectiva administración dentro de A1 y A2 depende del grado de separación de San Martín de Porres y la relación que existe entre este distrito e Independencia o Comas. A pesar de esto, la percepción de los pobladores nos llevó a la conclusión que el deterioro del poder municipal se está llevando a cabo de manera desigual dentro del área de estudio causando diversos problemas derivados. / In 1989, the district of Los Olivos was created. This led to a modification of the boundaries between the districts of San Martin de Porres, Independencia and Comas. However, due to oversights in the delimitation process, the lack of updates to preexisting laws and a lack of knowledge about when the Pan-American Highway modified its route, this situation gave rise to "border confusions" that continue to date. This investigation has focused on the elements that drive the conflict, examining confusions based on the current border delimitation and sociopolitical dynamics amongst the actors. Ultimately, it was determined that municipal presence and its effective administration within A1 and A2 depends on the degree of separation between the area in question and San Martín de Porres, as well as the relationship that exists between this district and Independencia or Comas. Despite this, the perception of the residents has led us to the conclusion that the deterioration of municipal power is being carried out unevenly within the area of study causing various derived problems. / Tesis
