A luz atua como elemento de composição arquitetõnica e como tal, é parceira na qualificação e comercialização dos ambientes do hotel. A dissertação analisa critérios e tendências do sistema de iluminação utilizado na tipologia hotel, e identifica causas do elevado consumo energético, avaliando os aspectos quantitativos e qualitativos da iluminância, levando em consideração o conforto térmico e a eficiência visual, através de estudo de caso com exemplar da tipologia, em Porto Alegre, tendo por base normas e regulamentos técnicos de eficiência termo-luminosa, nacionais e estrangeiras. / Comfort environmental and saving energy applied to the illumination is still concepts unknown in most of the exemplares of the typology hotel in Brazil.
