En el Perú, la manera tradicional de realizar los proyectos de construcción está basada en procesos prolongados que inician con el diseñador del proyecto, el cual desarrolla toda la documentación, y con el constructor, seleccionado luego de un proceso de licitación de acuerdo con ley, el cual asume todas las responsabilidades y riesgos del proyecto. Este modelo tradicional ha generado que muchos de los proyectos de construcción en el Perú tengan limitaciones y no logren los objetivos principales propuestos, generando así, por ejemplo, incrementos de presupuesto, retrasos, falta de calidad, etc. y siempre acompañado de un ambiente hostil y de desconfianza en los participantes. Los contratos IPD nos muestran que es posible crear un ambiente de trabajo colaborativo, alineado a todos los intereses económicos de los involucrados y crea colaboración directa entre el diseñador , el constructor y el cliente. Utilizando herramientas como el BIM se puede lograr con éxito una mayor coordinación con todas las partes para la iniciación de la construcción, optimizando el tiempo, el costo y logrando la calidad deseada. En el presente trabajo de investigación, se concluye que los contratos IPD exigen un cambio cultural que fomente la colaboración y participación en conjunto y no un pensamiento individualista, compartiendo los riesgos y las recompensas, eliminando los litigios y arbitrajes entre los mismos, elevando el nivel de confianza, hasta que en algún momento el contrato, como tal, no será necesario utilizarlo como un solucionador de problemas. / Abstract: In Peru, the traditional way of delivering a construction projects is based on long processes that starts with the project designer who develops all the documentation and with the builder, selected after a bidding process in accordance with the law, which assumes all responsibilities and risks of the project. This traditional model has generated that many of the construction projects in Peru have limitations and do not achieve the main objectives proposed, thus generating, for example, budget increases, delays, lack of quality, etc. and always accompanied by a hostile environment and distrust of the participants. IPD contracts have shown that it is possible to create a collaborative work environment, aligned to all the economic interests of those involved and create direct collaboration between the designer, the builder and the client, using tools such as BIM can achieve a greater success coordination with all parties for the initiation of construction, optimizing time, cost and achieving the desired quality.
