______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The cochineal carmine is nothing more than a mere coincidence or a circumstantial impulse for the creation of fictional poetics. This study of a theoretical/practical nature aims to bring together a series of artistic proposals by means of a poetic narrative and multidiscipli-nary studies. The appropriation of knowledge and languages from other knowledge areas served to provoke artistic reflections and propositions. The series of works presented were developed between 2011 and 2012. The chromatic narratives of carmine transit all the chapters in this dissertation, aiming to weave a unity and dialogue with the questions and references dealt with.
