Kinetika šíření únavových trhlin v ocelích P91 a P92 / Kinetics of fatigue crack propagation in steels P91 and P92

Kander, Jan January 2021 (has links)
The main subject of this master’s thesis was to evalute inluence of loading cycle asymmetry and long-term thermal exposure on fatigue crack growth rate in martensitic P91 and P92 steels. Experiments were carried out in Material and metallurgical research Ostrava Ltd. and their main aim was to study the influences of different loading cycle asymmetries (R = 0,1 and R = 0,6) as well as 5000 hours/600 °C (P91) respectively 5000 hours/650 °C (P92) of thermal exposure on fatigue crack growth rate.

Early Stages of Fatigue Damage of Steels for Fusion Energetics / Early Stages of Fatigue Damage of Steels for Fusion Energetics

Kuběna, Ivo January 2012 (has links)
Hlavním cílem této práce bylo vysvětlit únavové chování ocelí ODS Eurofer, 14Cr ODS feritické oceli vyráběné v CEA (Commissariat a l’énergie atomique, Saclay, France) a 14Cr ODS feritické oceli vyráběné v EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Laussane, Switzerland). Oxidická disperse značně zpevňuje materiály, redukuje cyklické změkčení a stabilizuje mikrostrukturu v celém rozsahu teplot. Byly nalezeny velké rozdíly v životnosti jednotlivých ocelí. Ty byly vysvětleny pomocí rozdílných mechanismů iniciace trhlin a jejich různou rychlostí.

Mechanismy únavového poškození niklové superslitiny Inconel 713LC za teploty 800°C / Fatigue failure mechanism of nickel-based superalloy Inconel 713LC under 800°C

Smékalová, Jana January 2010 (has links)
Nickel superalloys are used for high-temperature application in energetic and aerospace industry. They are exposed to aggressive environment at high temperatures with the interactions between fatigue and creep processes, high-temperature oxidation, corrosion and erosion. Lifetime extension of such strained parts while increasing the performance of particular machine is possible by applying protective surface coatings. The subject of this work is to investigate the fatigue failure mechanisms of superalloy Inconel 713LC at 800 °C and to compare these mechanisms between material with a protective coating based on Al-Si and material without coating. The location of initiation fatigue cracks, their propagation and the fatigue crack propagation rate in some areas were analyzed by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy. Based on previous research it was found that the application of the coating AlSi has a positive effect on lifetime of alloy Inconel 713LC. These results were confirmed and estimated in the diploma thesis.

Fatigue crack propagation in AA 7050-T7451 alloy considering environment, stress ratio, rolling direction and waveform effects / Propagação de trinca por fadiga na liga AA7050-T7451 considerando o efeito do meio ambiente, razão de tensões, direção de laminação e forma de onda

Main extrinsic and intrinsic modifiers factors of crack growth rate in AA7050-T7451 were assessed in order to provide tools for aeronautical structures designers. These tools cover most necessary information to project aircraft\'s structures using the studied alloy, under damage tolerance philosophy. The experimental methodology consisted of use CT specimens, on TL and LT rolling direction to test its behavior under different conditions of stress ratio, force waveform, and the environment. The stress ratio values were 0.1 and 0.5, the force waveform used were sine and trapezoidal or Dwell under normal air laboratory conditions and salt fog 3.5%NaCl weight in order to simulate the marine environment. In Dwell tests, results were checked with the electrical potential drop technique (DCPD) in addition to the crack opening displacement (COD) method. Using the Walker coefficients, calculated on the present research, could be projected accurately the crack propagation behavior on Paris region and do fatigue life predictions using da/dN and S-N diagrams for different stress ratio values. The corrosion environment increases both crack growth rate and ΔKth due to oxides formation on the crack path that generates a crack closure effect. Dwell carrying makes decrease the crack growth rate by decreasing the slope of the Paris line on log (da/dN) versus log (ΔK) curve, instead of shifting down the line as occurs on titanium alloys. Rolling direction change from LT to TL increase the FCG rate in both threshold and Paris region, where the rate change use to be small.

It was found that a significant improvement of mechanical properties of CFRPs can be achieved by the adjustment of the matrix properties such as toughness and CF/matrix adhesion via the chemical modification, as well as the physical modification by a small amount of cheap and environment-friendly nano fibers. Based on investigation of fracture mechanisms at macro/micro scale, the effects of matrix properties and nano fiber on the mechanical properties of CFRP have been discussed. Subsequently, the relationship has been characterized by a numerical model to show how to modulate the parameters of the matrix properties to achieve excellent fatigue properties of CFRP. / 博士(工学) / Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering / 同志社大学 / Doshisha University
