Elencamos como problema central da pesquisa verificar se os espaços de brincar oficiais da cidade de Assis (SP) estão em consonância com as expectativas das crianças. Desta maneira, definimos como objetivo geral identificarmos os espaços de brincar oficiais utilizados pelas crianças que residem na cidade de Assis (SP), a fim de compreender os aspectos relacionados à espacialidade exercida por elas. A discussão apresentada envolve a relação que a cidade possui com as crianças ao definir os espaços de brincar. Neste contexto, são problematizadas as orientações do Plano Diretor que norteiam as políticas públicas urbanas implementadas no município e a proposição e manutenção dos espaços de brincar oficiais de Assis (SP), os quais foram analisados pelos sujeitos participantes da pesquisa. O trabalho está fundamentado nos pressupostos da Geografia da Infância, que considera que a criança faz a apropriação do espaço de acordo com seus interesses próprios, havendo o desenvolvimento de variadas infâncias e diferentes formas de uso e ocupação de um mesmo espaço, e da Sociologia da Infância, que considera a criança como sujeito ativo, mas que ainda não possui direito pleno à participação nas decisões referentes ao planejamento urbano. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The present work comprises the analysis of the visibility of children in the urban of the city of Assis (SP), through the study of the Landscapes of Childhood, recognized by the local public power. We have singled out as central problem of the research to verify if the official play spaces of the city of Assis (SP) are in agreement with the children‟s expectations. In this way, we define as general objective to identify the official playing spaces used by the children residing in the city of Assis (SP), in order to understand the aspects related to the spatiality exercised by them. The discussion presented involves the relationship that the city has with children in defined play spaces. In this context, the guidelines of the Master Plan that guide the urban public policies implemented in the city and the proposal and maintenance of the official play spaces of Assis (SP) are analyzed, which were analyzed by the subjects participating in the research. The work is based on the assumptions of the Geography of Childhood that considers that children make the appropriation of the space according to their own interests, having the development of varied childhoods and different forms of using and occupying the same space and the Sociology of Childhood that considers the child as an active subject, but does not have a full right to participate in decisions regarding urban planning yet.
