No. of bitstreams: 1 2008_AdrianaMariaArantesLemeSilva.pdf: 1236476 bytes, checksum: 4bf8fa8d9bc0a7f570a4d355ea85300f (MD5) / O presente estudo pretendeu compreender como mães de bebês de risco sentiam e se constituíam em seu papel materno diante do desenvolvimento dos seus filhos, além de aspectos relacionados a isso, como suas concepções, expectativas, apoios formais e informais recebidos; a forma como aprendiam; como davam sentido às experiências vividas; refletindo sobre possibilidades de intervenção educativa. Nesse sentido, foram investigadas cinco histórias de vida de mães de bebês de risco, seus contextos sociais e subjetivos. Para tanto, utilizamos uma abordagem qualitativa, procurando desenvolver um processo construtivo interpretativo de produção do conhecimento. Utilizamos dois princípios gerais da epistemologia qualitativa: a relação e a comunicação constante com as colaboradoras do estudo em seus espaços de convívio (hospitalar e o familiar). Como procedimentos para facilitar a expressão, construção de idéias e sentimentos foram realizadas conversações e observações diretas do contexto relacional das mesmas, além de duas entrevistas semi-estruturadas, um encontro de grupo e fotos das mães relacionadas ao período pré e pós-natal. As informações revelaram que cada caso estudado mostrou uma dinâmica particular de constituição materna em função da própria complexidade da vida concreta e simbólica das participantes, apesar de mostrarem também a presença de mecanismos comuns de superação de dificuldades e promoção de desenvolvimento humano, quais sejam, as relações sociais e aprendizagens constantes, sobretudo a partir de espaços de convivência no alojamento conjunto da maternidade do hospital, que mostraram ser de grande importância tanto para as mães, na constituição positiva de sua maternidade, como para a equipe multiprofissional, como estratégia de intervenção sócio-educativa. _________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The present study intended to understand how high risk babies’ mothers felt and were constituted in their mother role before the development of their children, besides aspects related to it, such as their conceptions, expectations, formal and informal support received, the way they learnt, how they gave sense to the experiences lived, reflecting about possibilities of educative intervention. Thus, five stories of risk babies’ mothers’ lives were investigated, together with their social and subjective contexts. For that, we have used a qualitative approach, trying to develop a constructive interpretative process of knowledge production. We have used two general principles of qualitative epistemology: the relationship, and the constant communication with the study collaborators in their living spaces (hospital and family). As procedures to facilitate the expression and construction of ideas and feelings, conversations and direct observations of their relationships context were carried out, besides two semi-structured interviews, a group meeting, and photos of the mothers on the pre- and post-natal periods. The information revealed that each case studied showed a particular dynamics of maternal constitution regarding the concrete and symbolic complexity of the participants’ life itself, although they also showed the presence of common mechanisms to overcome difficulties and promote human development, that is, social relationships and constant learning, mostly from living spaces in the joint lodging of the hospital maternity, that proved to be of great importance to the mothers for the positive constitution of their maternity, and to the multi-professional team, as a socio-educative intervention strategic.
