No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertação Mestrado Versão Final Arial 10.doc: 1224192 bytes, checksum: f274ad89b6c66631c66bdfccfba008c8 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2007 / O presente trabalho tem por objetivo provocar uma discussão sobre o sistema de apurar custos em refinarias de petróleo tendo em vista uma citação feita pelo Professor Charles Horngren em seu livro Contabilidade de Custos, no qual ele divulga uma pesquisa feita no Reino Unido em que as refinarias de petróleo não adotam o sistema de custos conjuntos apesar de sua produção ser considerada como tal. Visando sistematizar e racionalizar o desenvolvimento desse trabalho, foi usado o método dedutivo para alcançar o objetivo proposto. Procuramos, inicialmente, para contextualizar o nosso tema de apurar custos em refinarias de petróleo, através de pesquisas em livros, sites, jornais e revistas do ramo petrolífero, analisar todo o processo produtivo, não só no Brasil, como também, no cenário mundial. No caso do Brasil, chegamos à conclusão que, devido à política da Agência Nacional de Petróleo (ANP), que visa dar suporte financeiro à empresa que monopoliza todo o sistema petrolífero no Brasil a PETROBRÁS, os preços de venda dos produtos oriundos das refinarias de petróleo são considerados estratégicos, portanto não tem nenhum relacionamento com os custos de produção, dessa forma qualquer sistema que se adote, desde que o resultado final seja um lucro que dê suporte financeiro à PETROBRÁS para novos investimentos, é suficiente. Já com os países que têm seus preços dependendo da livre concorrência é recomendada à adoção dos custos conjuntos. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This present study has as objective to provoke a discussion about the system of cleaning costs in refineries of petroleum tends in view a citation by Charles Horngren in his book Management Accounting, in which he publishes a research done in United Kingdom in that the refineries of petroleum doesn't adopt the system of united costs in spite of its production to be considered as such. Seeking to systematize and to rationalize the development of that work, the deductive method was used to reach the proposed objective. We sought, initially, to context our theme of cleaning costs in refineries of petroleum, through researches in books, sites, newspapers and magazines of the petroleum branch, to analyze the whole productive process, not only in Brazil, as well as, in the world scenery. In the case of Brazil, we reached the conclusion that, due to the politics of the National Agency of Petroleum (ANP), seeks to give financial support to the company that monopolizes the whole petroleum system in Brazil, the Petrobrás, the prices of sale of the products originating from of the refineries of petroleum are considered strategic, therefore it doesn't have any relationship with the production costs, in that way any system that is adopted, since the final result is a profit that gives financial support to Petrobrás for new investments, it is enough. The countries that have their prices already depending on the free competition it is recommended to the adoption of the united costs.
