The topic of this thesis is political marketing with a focus on marketing communication of Czech political parties. Its title is "Image of political parties in the Czech republic" and describes use of political marketing and its methods or instruments in Czech political environment. At first the thesis describes methods of political marketing especially marketing communication and how five chosen Czech political parties (ODS, ČSSD, KSČM, TOP 09, VV) use them. What is useful, where are mistakes etc. The thesis is focused on image of chosen parties. The aim is to find out, if the identity (planned image) of political parties corresponds with perceived image by young people (18-30 years, university educated). Due to this aim a focus group and a quantitative research were conducted. Their results were compared with planned image detected in interviews with marketing managers of particular parties (except VV). Moreover the thesis contains recommendations for parties for improving their communication to achieve their planned image.

The purpose of this thesis is to map possible benefits and drawbacks of the newly proposed funding system of tertiary education system in the Czech Republic (with a focus on an issue of private funding). The paper should examine two different interpretations of the funding system, that is the perspectives of ¡§Liberal¡¨ part and ¡§Socialist part¡¨ of the Czech political spectrum. The thesis will try to find and explain possible drawbacks (as they are expressed by left-wing oriented observers) and possible positive effects of a proposed tertiary education system funding reform (as observed by the liberal, right-wing, analysts and observers). The paper should demonstrate how market forces are and/or are not beneficial in a tertiary education sphere, and whether and how they can be reflected in efficiency and equity of tertiary education system. This paper should also provide interviews with people from different fields and of different perspectives and explore their reasoning in more detail. The observations included in the research demonstrate three models of higher-education system; these are a general USA model, a Swedish model, and a concrete model of a profitable successful college, EM Lyon, France. These models should offer a comparison and possible implications for the Czech TES funding reform; these possible implications should be a part of a conclusion of this paper.

The thesis deals with analysis of parties′ documents of four Czech Eurosceptic political parties. The goal is to divide political parties into groups of different levels of Euroscepticism, based on attitudes of political party to European Integration according to typology of Euroscepticism by Paul Taggart and Aleks Szczerbiak. Authors made division of "soft" and "hard" Euroscepticism, which divides political parties by depth of negative positions and attitudes towards European Integration and European union. Furthermore, the thesis answers several research questions and hypothesis. Thesis analyses party documents for election to European Parliament in 2014 and 2019. Examined political actors are Communist party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM), Civic Democratic Party (ODS), Free Citizens Party (SSO), and Dawn of Direct Democracy - Tomio Okamura (Dawn)/Freedom and Direct Democracy- Tomio Okamura (SPD). Because of the principal role of leader, SPD is considered for the ongoing Dawn movement in this thesis. The presented text of this thesis focuses on the issue of changing the organizational structure of a party, or on the transition of one type of political party to another, ie from the side of the cadres to the side of the masses. The work is based primarily on the Duverger's classification of political parties, on the basis of which the criteria are based on which the parties are judged. These criteria are defined in the first part of the text. In the second part of the text, this typology is applied to selected political parties. Each of the monitored parties is examined separately according to the criteria presented and defined in the first part of the text. The research sample of this work is made up of the so-called "five" parties, ie Agrarians, Social Democrats, National Democrats, Christian Democrats and National Socialists. The thesis deals with the extent to which the designated political parties correspond to one or the other type and what changes their internal organization has experienced. In other words, whether there has been a change in the organizational structure, ie the change from the cadre-type to the mas-type side and, if so, in what specific parameters.
