Role islámu v životě muslimských sportovců působících v Česku / The Role of Islam in Life of Active Muslim Athletes in Czechia

Pulec, Jan January 2015 (has links)
Title: The Role of Islam in Life of Active Muslim Athletes in Czechia Objectives: The analysis of the relationship of Islam and sport is the main objective of this thesis. Sporting Muslims living in Czechia and active Muslim athletes are chosen as target group for our research. This thesis focuses on level of identification with Islam as their faith. It also focuses on their attitude to sport. It further deals with Muslim customs in terms of its effects on athletes' life. The proper example is the Ramadan fasting. Methods: We chose the semistructured interview as the method to collect data. We took seven interviews with Muslim athletes (four professional and three amateur athletes). We chose the method of open coding as the suitable method for analysing data. Results: We found out that the relationship of Muslim athletes (our respondents) with their faith can be characterized as folk Islam or folk religiosity. Respondents also consider sport as a fully satisfying part of their life, but it is not linked with their faith. However other Muslim practices (represented mainly by Ramadan fasting) do not show as problematic or incompatible with ordinary athletes' life. Key words: Islam, sport, Muslim athletes, Czechia

Sběr plodů: (ne)tradiční strategie získávání potravin ve městě? / Urban foraging: a (non)traditional strategy of food privisioning in the city?

Růžičková, Lucie January 2018 (has links)
A research of foraging represents a relatively new phenomenon abroad. In Czechia, on the other hand, this is an ordinary issue with a long-time tradition, but until recently it has not received much attention by the scientific community. For this reason the following diploma thesis deals with this activity. It consists of two main units. The first part aims to create the theoretical framework necessary for the introduction into the foraging study. There is a familiarization with the trend of the self-provisioning in general both in Czechia and abroad. A substantial part of the theoretical framework deals with the quantity and the typology of harvested products, the reasons for foraging, the characteristics of the harvesters, etc. It also outlines the problem of western academics' interpretation of foraging in post-communist conditions as a survival strategy. In the second part, using the mixed research methods, the thesis seeks to find out what is the tradition of foraging in Czech conditions during recent decades, who are the harvesters and what are the reasons and motivations to harvest. By statistical data analysis and by interviewing method, it is confirmed that people across a variety of demographic and socio-economic characteristics are harvesting and motivation is certainly not a bad...

Jizba, Ondřej January 2019 (has links)
The master thesis deals with the regional differentiation of housing prices in Czechia at the district level. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate and explain the regional differentiation and development of apartment prices between 2001 and 2017. The first empirical part concerns the general evaluation of apartment prices, where, in addition to cartographic outputs, descriptive statistics are used. The monitored period is divided into smaller time intervals according to the trend of rising prices of apartments and the development of national economy. Both the absolute prices of apartments and the relative changes between different years are observed including establishment of own typology. The second part monitors the influence of selected factors (average salary, migration and population density) on the average price of apartments at district level. Two types of correlation analyses were employed as an analytical tool. Keywords: apartment prices, Czechia, administrative districts

Švédský model rodinné politiky jako inspirace pro Česko / Swedish model of family policy as an inspiration for Czechia

Lenz, Patrik January 2020 (has links)
Swedish model of family policy as an inspiration for Czechia Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare the development and current setting of Swedish and Czech family policy. The reason for the comparison of the state systems in the area of family support is the potential inspiration in the measures or direction of Swedish family policy in Czechia. Like the Czech model, the Swedish model of family policy is based on financial compensation for families. In addition, it provides government services (e.g. an extensive network of quality childcare centers) and the conceptuality in which Czech family policy lags. Demographic indicators examine the fertility of women in selected states in the context of family policy development. Selected indicators of female fertility show the influence of family policy in Czechia and Sweden. Besides other things the thesis deals with attitudes and opinions of inhabitants within the family values. These views were analysed based on the respondents' answers in the longitudinal research The European Values Study (EVS). Following the example of Sweden, support for the harmonization of maternity and working life or the involvement of fathers in childcare should be initially increased. Analýza mimomanželské plodnosti v Česku a ve vybraných vyspělých zemích / Non-marital fertility in Czechia and selected developed countries

Solařová, Kristýna January 2021 (has links)
Non-maritalfertility in Czechia and selecteddeveloped countries Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is to interpret the changes and trends in the reproduction behaviour in Czechia, Italy and Japan between the years 1990 and 2019, focusing on non-marital fertility. The thesis summarizes previously published literature on the subject of reproduction behaviour in developed countries. Individual trends of non-marital fertility in Czechia are studied using several demographic analysis tools. The primary focus is directed towards the structure of live births by mother's age, legal marital status and educational attainment level, as well as child's birth order. Focusing on the population of children born out of the wedlock, the method of binary logistic regression shows that there is a link between the odds of giving birth to child out of the wedlock, and the age and educational attainment level of mother. For the purposes of this thesis, developed countries are represented by Italy and Japan. Apart from data analysis, the focus is directed towards the social and cultural dissimilarities in reproductive behaviour of these countries' populations. The final part of the thesis compares the results of the analysis of all selected countries and shows that the countries vary in social perception of non-marital...

Volfová, Natálie January 2022 (has links)
Innovation is an essential concept of today. Politicians, scientists, but also ordinary people talk about this concept. Everyone thinks that innovations are beneficial and needed. For a long time, this concept was primarily associated with the private sector. Nowadays, it is possible to find it in the everyday communication of public organizations and institutions. Because of that, it is possible to ask how public organizations who create state cultural diplomacy see innovations in their field of interest. Two cases - the Czech Republic and France display the essential differences and features in the adoption of innovations in the cultural- diplomacy agenda. The qualitative analyses of strategic documents, annual reports, and information about the performing cultural actions during the period 1.1.2015 - 31.12.2019 can show which innovations in the creation of cultural-diplomatic activities have appeared and if its adoption has differed in the two cases. The analyses include the French Institute in Prague and Czech Centre in Paris. Master's thesis will identify the types of innovations in cultural diplomacy, and the innovations will be classified into the typology of innovations in the public sector. In addition, it will be essential to discover if the state can affect the effective adoption of...

Nožičková, Veronika January 2010 (has links)
The objective of the diploma thesis is to capture the phenomenon of internationalization of second housing in Czechia using the example of Dutch investment in tourism and recreation with a focus on new recreational localities and their impacts on the destinations. An important role plays also the offer on real estate market and environmentally attractive localities in the country. Recreational localities owned and used mainly by foreign (Dutch) clients for individual recreation and commercial purposes are established in areas with high tourist-recreational potential. They become an integral part of the physical and social environment and their specific features change its structure and links. Their benefits and risks depend on the nature of recreational localities projects and the target destinations as well.
