Analýza sběru dat ve vybrané firmě / Data analysis in the chosen company

Jun, Jakub January 2017 (has links)
The main focus of this thesis is on data gathering process in the chosen company. The main goal of the thesis is to map the process of data gathering, analyse the current situation and suggest improvements based on revealed problems. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical foundation of data gathering. There are mentions of the basics of quality management and parts of the ISO 9001:2015 which can be applied to data gathering systems, process and the tools for its mapping and the methods of data gathering. There is a part which focuses on FMEA method, which is used for the analysis of the current state of the process. The second part introduces chosen company. There are used a few tools to map the process with the focus on spots where the data are gathered. According to the FMEA method and its process, there is an analysis of the current system. The attention is paid to the problematic parts of the process of data gathering. Then there can be found few propositions how to make the data gathering process in the company better.

Software pro vizualizaci dat na platformě Microsoft v porovnání s vybraným open source produktem / Software for visualizing data on a Microsoft platform compared to available open source products

Krsová, Kateřina January 2013 (has links)
My thesis deals with comparison with Business Intelligence software for data visualization for Microsoft platform to selected open source product. The aim of my thesis is to find visualization software that is suitable for small company and firm can handle visualization by itself. At first there is introduction to issues of Business Intelligence following description of visualization resources of Microsoft platform, specifically Excel, Power View, Power Map and Reporting. Subsequently open source software was chosen that is able to compete with visualization products of Microsoft platform specifically CDE Dashboard from Pentaho platform. There are compared chosen products via proposed scenario and evaluated standards. Finally there are evaluated suitability of individual software for data visualization.

Fractal application in data compression / Uplatnění fraktálů v kompresi dat

Dušák, Petr January 2015 (has links)
The mission of the Technology Transfer Programme Office is to increase impact on a society by transferring technologies developed by the European Space Agency. Method and Apparatus for compressing time series is a patented compression algorithm designed to be efficient as its purpose is to run on deep space probes or satellites. The algorithm is inspired by a method for fractal terrain generation, namely the midpoint displacement algorithm. This work introduces fractals, their application and modifying the patented algorithm, in order to achieve greater compression. The modification lies in modifying the displacement mechanism. The modified algorithm is capable of reducing data up to 25 %, compared to the patented algorithm. The modification made the algorithm less efficient. In large-scale test, performed on Rosetta spacecraft telemetry, the modified algorithm achieved around 5 % higher compression.

Možnosti využitia Business Intelligence nástrojov v cloude / Possibilities of using Business Intelligence tools in the cloud

Roman, Martin January 2012 (has links)
Thesis is devoted on Business Intelligence tools in cloud, as one of the main trends of this area. BI tools in cloud have become widely used after companies begin to realize importance of data analysis for getting a competitive advantage. The high cost for implementation of a BI caused, that companies started discovering tools which can be implementing and operating with significantly lower costs and outside of their own infrastructure. The practical part of the thesis is focused on analysis and comparison currently using BI cloud tools. The analysis is based on practical examples which should test selected solutions for using at corporate sector of small and medium enterprises. Each of selected solutions is analyzed from several points of view and rated. Beside analysis is the next main goal of the thesis evaluation of best solution for companies and define potentials benefits and limitations which can follow implementation and operation.

Mechanismy MPT a MPTCP v datových sítích a jejich efektivita / MPT and MPTCP mechanisms in data networks and their efficiency

Sejkora, Petr January 2017 (has links)
This work deals with multipath transmission in the data networks to speed up transmission over networks with limited transmission speed. Work compares the characteristics, efficiency and response to changes in individual transmission paths. Work is specifically dedicated to MPT and MPTCP mechanisms.

Přenos komprimovaného EKG signálu po síti Ethernet / ECG Signal Transmission via Ethernet

Bayerová, Zuzana January 2012 (has links)
The semestral thesis describes ECG signal compression methods designed to modify the data for transmission via communication channels. The thesis contains an introduction to Ethernet and explanation of communication in the network. The transport protocols TCP and UDP are discussed in more detail. In the practical part of the thesis was created two separate applications. The first application in the sender's computer opens a text file with the ECG signal. Loaded ECG signal is filtered by cascade of filters to eliminate interference. The resulting signal is displayed. A part of the application is the R wave detection, calculating the length of RR interval and heart rate. The application also allows to compress an ECG signal. ECG signal is sent via Ethernet network via UDP protocol for individual samples. Applications in the recipient's computer receives signal samples from the network. Recieved compressed data is reconstructed. The resulting ECG signal is displayed and there are again detected R waves, the length of RR intervals and sampling frequency are calculated.

NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL CORRELATES OF STRIATAL DOPAMINERGIC DYSFUNCTION IN PARKINSON’S DISEASE

Walls, Brittany D. 01 January 2019 (has links)
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder associated with dysfunction of the basal ganglia, which contributes to a range of motor, cognitive, and affective symptoms. Striatal dopaminergic deficits are one of the core pathological mechanisms thought to contribute to the extra-motor (i.e., cognitive and affective) symptoms in early PD. The present study investigated the relationship between striatal dopaminergic integrity and cognition in 21 patients with PD and 21 age and education matched controls. Each individual underwent dopamine transporter (DaT) imaging with single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) (i.e., DaTscan) and standardized neuropsychological testing. Strong positive associations were found between DaT availability in the striatum and verbal memory (r = .52-.61) and problem solving/set-shifting (r = .55) in patients with PD. Additional moderate to strong positive associations (r = .49-.56) between DaT concentrations and visuospatial functions in patients with PD were found. However, similar significant associations between DaT and cognition were observed in age and education matched controls. Clinically, it is important for health care professionals to consider the role of both striatal and extra-striatal mechanisms as they relate to cognition in PD. Future studies examining the full range of pathological mechanisms that contribute to cognitive dysfunction in PD over time are warranted in order to inform more effective and targeted interventions.
