São analisados dados gerais das revistas e dados específicos da discussão sobre democracia, aprofundando a análise em elementos de democracia característicos de diversas vertentes democráticas, a fim de se verificar como se constituem os discursos dominantes e alternativos no campo das ciências sociais brasileiro. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work presents a mapping of the discourses about democracy published between 1985 and 2005 in the papers of three important brazilian academic reviews: Revista Brasileira de Ciências Sociais, Dados – Revista de Ciências Sociais and Lua Nova – Revista de Cultura e Política. Reviews' global data and democratic discussion data are analysed, specially those of specific democratic elements of several democratic approaches, in order to verify how the dominant and the alternative discourses are formed in the brazilian social sciences field.
