Para tanto, pesquisa empírica foi realizada no pequeno município de Santa Lúcia/SP, inserido na economia canavieira regional e, mais especificamente, no bairro Nova Santa Lúcia, onde é notável a presença de um “campesinato móvel” oriundo majoritariamente do município de Gonçalves Dias/MA. A partir da reconstrução de trajetórias de mobilidade foi possível demonstrar as reconversões laborais e espaciais que ocorreram pari passu às reconfigurações do trabalho canavieiro e que reconstroem na localidade paulista redes de relações e espaços de vida, conformando um processo de ampliação dos lugares de pertença daqueles que se deslocam. Neste contexto, o principal sentido do qual estão investidas as práticas migratórias é a reprodução da família e da casa. A construção de casas de moradia na localidade paulista foi pensada não apenas em sua materialidade, mas como construtora de relações morais, centradas em novos casais e filhos. A construção de autonomia dos novos núcleos familiares desvelou-se, inclusive, nas práticas de consumo e na valoração positiva atribuída ao trabalho em São Paulo. Para a realização da pesquisa as redes sociais foram importantes operadores metodológicos, orientando o reconhecimento das próprias redes de relações existentes na localidade. Deste modo, foram privilegiadas perspectivas teóricas e metodológicas que tivessem nos símbolos e valores correntes entre os migrantes seu ponto partida. / This work had as its central objective the understanding of the meanings of migratory practices in a context of work restructured in the sugar cane fields of São Paulo. For that, the empirical research was carried out in the small city of Santa Lúcia / SP, inserted in the regional sugarcane economy and, more specifically, in the Nova Santa Lúcia neighborhood, where the presence of a "mobile peasantry" coming mainly from Gonçalves Dias/MA. From the reconstruction of mobility trajectories, it was possible to demonstrate the labor and spatial reconversions that occurred alongside reconfigurations of sugarcane work and which rebuild networks of relationships and spaces of life in the city of São Paulo, forming a process of expansion of the places of belonging of those who move. In this context, the main sense of migratory practices is the reproduction of family and household. The construction of dwelling houses in the locality of São Paulo was thought not only of its materiality, but as a constructor of moral relations centered on new couples and children. The construction of autonomy of the new family nuclei was even revealed in the practices of consumption and in the positive valuation attributed to the work in São Paulo. In order to carry out the research, social networks were important methodological operators, guiding the recognition of the networks of existing relationships in the locality. In this way, theoretical and methodological perspectives that had in the symbols and current values among the migrants their starting point were privileged.
