Personagem criada pelo engenheiro Alexandre Marcondes Machado, o barbeiro italiano fez muito sucesso nos anos de 1910 quando publicava na revista O Pirralho, fundada pelo modernista Oswald de Andrade. Tal reconhecimento lhe rendeu algumas pesquisas no meio acadêmico. Com uma fortuna crítica ainda em formação, dada a quantidade de material não estudado, pretendemos estender o conhecimento de sua produção. Para isso, escolhemos 125 textos que foram publicados nos periódicos seguintes: Diário Nacional (1927 - 1932), Jornal das Trincheiras (1932) e A Manha (1926 - 1933). O período selecionado para este trabalho é diverso da maioria das pesquisas até agora existentes. Percebemos, ao longo de nossa leitura, que a política paulista é o grande tema das crônicas de Juó Bananére. Nelas encontramos referência a diversos momentos históricos importantes, além de oferecer um panorama cultural e social da época em que os textos se inserem / Abstract: This work is intended to present a critical study of a selection of texts from the macaronic author Juó Bananare. A character created by the engineer Alexandre Marcondes, the Italian barber was very successful in the 1910s while being published in the magazine O Pirralho (The Kid), founded by the modernist Oswald de Andrade. Such recognition resulted in some research of his literature in the academic field. With a critical fortune still in formation, given the amount of material yet to be studied, we seek to extent the knowledge of his production. For this, we chose 125 texts that were published in the following periodicals: Diário Nacional (1927 - 1932), Jornal das Trincheiras (1932) e A Manha (1926 - 1933). The period selected for this work is different from most of the research that has been done so far. We notice, during our reading, that the politics of São Paulo is the major theme for Juó Bananére's chronicles. There we found references to many important historical moments, in addition to offer a cultural and social outlook from the time in which the texts were written / Mestrado / Teoria e Critica Literaria / Mestra em Teoria e História Literária
