Thesis (M.B.A.)--Boston University / The purpose of this paper is to partly fill the information void which exists with respect to one of these small but vital industries, the water distilling equipment industry. Rather than cover all of the aspects el the select in a limited manner, the writer has chosen to describe in detail the majer area of interest Of the industry, namely, the hospital market. There is currently a virtually complete absence of published data on the industry. This paper is a detailed treatment of the extent and nature of the market for the two majer types of water distilling equipment (water stills and tanks) among hospitals with new construction. To the best of the writer's knowledge, most of the information in this paper has never before been published.
