The Relationships among Psychological Contract, Trust, Organizational Citizenship Behavior¡GA Sample of the Employees in Taiwan Distribution Industry

Lin, Chou-An 02 September 2005 (has links)
The distribution industry has created high GDP and employment in this country and has become one of the key elements of Taiwan¡¦s economy. In the labor-intensive distribution industry, human resource plays an important role. Fully utilized human resource can create powerful competitive force for an organization. Therefore, from the aspect of human resource management, this paper is intended to explore the relationship among psychological contract, trust, and organizational citizenship behavior of the employees of Taiwan distribution industry. The subject of this study is the employees in the distribution industry. Questionnaire survey was used in this study. Seven hundred (700) questionnaires were sent out , in which 491 were effective. The findings are as follows¡G Psychological contract has significant negative influence on trust. 1.Trust has significant positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior. 2.Some of the psychological contracts have significant negative influence on organizational citizenship behavior. 3.Trust has significant intervening effect between psychological contract and organizational citizenship behavior. Moreover, Some of the personal attributes or organizational characteristics have significant deviation on the psychological contract, trust, and organizational citizenship behavior. Based on the findings, intervening models can be formed among psychological contract, trust, and organizational citizenship behavior. This study will assist the further development of the theories about psychological contract, trust, and organizational citizenship. This paper is also to provide practical suggestions on the human resource management in the distribution industry.

Lean and Agile Supply Chain Management: A Case of IT Distribution Industry in the Middle East

Abdi, M. Reza, Edalat, F.D., Abumusa, S. 10 2016 (has links)
No / Supply chain management (SCM) as one of the important research topics plays a major role in performance of organizations/stakeholders operating as the supply chain tiers. Many studies have been published to find the best theory and strategy, which can be applied to each industry or market. SCM is still a developing field and there are still gaps in understanding what its design strategies and boundaries are. There are two major modes of managing supply chain (i) lean supply chain which emphasize supply chain efficiency and (ii) agile supply chains which emphasize supply chain responsiveness and flexibility. This chapter reviews two modes of lean and agile supply chain in Information Technology (IT) distribution field in the emerging markets in the Middle East. The chapter presents key characteristics of lean and agile supply chains in IT industry. It investigates how a suitable supply chain policy can be adopted by IT hardware and services distributors in the Middle East through a case study. Is it a lean supply chain policy which emphasizes efficiency? Or is it an agile supply chain policy which emphasizes responsiveness and flexibility? Or is it an integrated lean-agile policy based on specific activities aimed at specific results? The chapter discusses leanness and agility with a focus on the main activities carried out by IT distributors that include orders processing, professional services, inventory and logistic services. IT industry has been characterized by continuous and rapid market and customer requirements changes. These changes are applicable on all IT products/services such as networking, information security, software, service support, smart phones, IP telephony, CCTV, wireless…etc. Therefore, in IT industry, both manufacturing and service operation should be included in planning processes across its supply chain. The primary data was acquired through specifically designed interviews. The questions were based on the core factors investigated in the literature of operation management, strategic management and marketing related to IT supply chain. The core factors, which are found critical are customer satisfaction, process management, inventory levels, capabilities and services provided, are explored and analyzed through a case study in the Middle East.

The Metasearch Road to Purchase : An investigation of the Touchpoints on Metasearch Engines in the Travel Distribution Industry / The Metasearch Road to Purchase : An investigation of the Touchpoints on Metasearch Engines in the Travel Distribution Industry

Mikaelsson, André, Mikkelsen, Gustav January 2018 (has links)
The travel distribution industry is growing. While traditional distribution channels such as online travel agencies and physical stores are decreasing in revenues, metasearch companies are receiving greater attention from consumers. However, metasearch companies face challenges even with an increasing market. Offering a proposition with a business model that revolves around pay per click and advertisements, you are in need of large amount of traffic. To understand the consumer behaviour has never been more critical. It is about increasing the ability to create a rich customer experience. In order to do so, companies are in need of understanding how to interact with consumers. The interaction is mainly occurring through touchpoints. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to investigate how the current identified most relevant digital touchpoints are having impact on the consumers opinion of metasearch websites in the travel distribution industry. By doing so, we contribute to marketing theory, method and practices. The importance of certain touchpoints and to find out if they have the same relevance when the purchase itself is excluded. Focus is being towards factors that metasearch companies see as undiscovered. A quantitative study was conducted with a sample of 148 respondents. The result not only gave new insight in terms of touchpoints relevance in metasearch industries but also a theoretical ground for future research.

圖書流通業應用RFID資訊系統架構之探討

林家全, Lin, Chia-Chuan Unknown Date (has links)
Publishers publish magazines, books, videotapes, newspapers etc. When it comes to publishing, it is recently developed very rapidly. Many kinds of books have popped up in book industry and have lead to complexity of books management and distribution. Book distributors play important roles in book distribution and retail. Distributors get the books from publishers and send the books to retailers. Distributors have more books than publishers and retailers, so they face much more management complexity. RFID can identify the object and learn its EPC by reading the object’s RFID tag. We can learn the object’s position by building RFID readers and RFID middlewares at the supply chain nodes. Due to RFID’s track and trace function materialflow and inventory management can enhance. Besides RFID, EPC Network Service Platform can strengthen information sharing between partners and lead to high visibility in the supply chain. We collected RFID references and selected book distributors. These book distributors have known RFID. We tried to understand the RFID requirements of the book distributors and then did the RFID requirements analysis of the book distributiors. Based on the RFID requirements analysis, we proposed a RFID system architecture to satisfy the RFID requirements of the book distributors. Following, we interviewed the book distributors and then verified, revised the RFID system architecture. At last the final RFID system architecture is presented and the architecture is offered to book distributors for reference. About the conclusion, we offered some research suggestions for other RFID researchers.
