A study on the china distribution channel: A Foreign Company in the Petrochemical Industry Case

A distribution channel decision is very important. A foreign chemical additive manufacturer wishes to develop an indirect distribution channel into the China refinery and petrochemical market. The selection of a favorable distributor to work with in the China market will involve a number of complex decisions by the manufacturer. Developing the criteria and strategy to screen and select a China distributor is studied in this research. A mutual understanding and cooperation between the manufacturer and distributor to define explicit roles, expectations, and responsibilities is necessary. Three critical definitions include: 1) The contract terms and conditions, especially with regard to time period, contract termination, and consideration of efforts during contract life once contract is terminated; 2) Commitment of the manufacturer to fully support distributor once distribution contract is awarded; 3) The distributor¡¦s opportunities to expand distribution rights in return for strong performance. Motivating the owners and employees of the independent organizations in a distribution chain requires great effort. Methods of motivating a distributor organization will be reserved for a more advanced study in the future.

Abstract Semiconductor Distributor regulate the market supply and demand functions, Also playing a bridge for the upstream IC suppliers and downstream system manufacturers. With the development of the industry, life cycle of end products is getting shorter, the upstream supplies can not precisely hold the marketing trend of end products.However, a professional IC distributor has marketing capability to grasp the trend of end products, to provide the integration of application consulting, logistics resources, services and therefore to provide a complete total solution of helping customers to develop new products . So the distributors increased in self-value-added and gained customer trust . Moreover, it enhanced the connection to customers and could lead the market gradually. So it still is a key position in the components supply chains. Small- medium distributors not only face with the large domestic distributors but also on the face of international distributors competitive threat. By changing the marketing strategy, it may affect small-medium semiconductor distributor to choose a differentiated way, so they may develop of a unique competitive advantage. If distributors increase their technical capability for products application and provide a total solution to customers, they could lower the pressure to sell total solution instead of single parts. By providing total solutions and modules as selling point, it can raise the profit and also increase the connection between customers, therefore, strengthen the competitive power of enterprise. This study focused on the transformation strategy of small and medium distributors. The study found that when facing marketing competition, small and medium distributors will have three kinds of Business Transformation strategies: 1. To go with the medium, and large distributors direction. 2. To go with technology-intensive direction to be a solution provider. 3. To make diversification strategy direction. In this study, small and medium semiconductor distributors are main subject case study. The study through empirical analysis of the case and found out the business transformation of the three possible directions. And we are looking forward to providing a direction of thinking and hoping next researcher for further improvement.

Evidential Analysis in the Process of Balanced Scorecard Embedding¢wTaking the Distributor of a High-Technological Material

Abstract To pursue continuous growth, enterprises have to draft out various development strategies of their operation management. Nevertheless, whether the development strategies can achieve the co-understanding and supports from the members of the organization and whether they can be really executed have to depend on systematic methods for implementation. Balanced scorecard is a kind of management system that makes the organizational strategies realized. It was originated from the balanced scorecard of the United States in 1990. It emphasized that the assessment standards for the performance on the four aspects of an enterprise (the aspect of finance, the aspect of customers, the aspect of internal procedures, and the aspect of innovation and learning) should be originated from their strategies, and should be linked with the rewarding system of the enterprise. It referred that balanced scorecard is not merely a performance assessment system, but also a management tool linked with strategies and rewarding system. This research takes the case of a company, being a distributor of high-technological material, as an example to understand the structural process of its embedding of ¡§balanced scorecard.¡¨ Secondly, through evidential analysis, we can understand the high- and low-rank staff¡¦s different extents of agreement to balanced scorecard ever since it was embedded in the company. Finally, according to the analytic results, the research points out the relevant problems encountered in the process of embedding and gives suggestions, which can be a reference guide for the analyzed company and other companies planning to embed balanced scorecard. The conclusions of the research are as follows: In spite of having received guidance from a professional consulting company in the embedding process of a series of organizational reform plans, the analyzed company was confronted with a lot of problems over the promotion of balanced scorecard. This is closely related to the enterprise culture, value judgment, organizational climate and leadership style deeply cultivated in the company for a long time. Therefore, it is not a problem of system itself, but a problem of execution. Apart from supporting the promotion of the system, high-rank and leading grades should hold positive attitude and take initiative action to participate the promotion of the system, and cultivate correct enterprise culture, value judgment, organizational climate and leadership style. In this way, the implementation of the system can be sustained continuously, and the future value of the enterprise can thus be created.

Impact of Fluids Distribution System on Bubble Column Hydrodynamics

The performance of ebullated bed hydroprocessors depends on the fluids distribution system and liquid recycle pan. Given that bubbles do not readily coalesce in the bed, the original bubble size distribution generated at the bubble cap distributor likely impacts buoyancy-based phase separation at the recycle pan. Gas entrained in the liquid recycle increases bed gas holdup at the expense of liquid holdup and product yield. The aim of this work was to investigate the impact of gas-liquid distribution system on resulting bubble properties and dynamics and incorporate a distributor sub-model into an existing fluid dynamics model of the industrial hydroprocessor. The size of initial bubbles formed in the plenum chamber was found to have negligible impact on phase holdups above the distributor. However, resulting bubble properties were found to depend on distributor geometry, distributor power dissipation and gas-liquid velocity ratio. In addition, a new set of scaling laws for gas-liquid distributors, based on dimensional analysis and similitude, was proposed. Geometric scaling was based on matching distributor fractional open area and ratios of critical dimensions. Dynamic similarity was based on matching three dimensionless groups and bubble coalescence behaviour. A bubble size distribution model was then developed. Both pressure and distributor were found to have an impact on individual bubble drag coefficients, as they both altered bubble size distribution. A novel drag model was thus also developed at industrially relevant conditions. Finally, a new gas-liquid distributor sub-model, including bubble size distribution and drag models previously developed, was incorporated into an overall fluid dynamics model of the hydroprocessor. The bubble size distribution model was also coupled with existing gas-liquid separation sub-model to better predict recycled gas and liquid fractions. A sensitivity analysis performed with the overall model revealed distributor configurations with potential of improving the processing capacity of the hydroprocessor.

The thesis "Cinema Copyright" is focused on the problems of copyright protection of audio-visual work, live broadcast and other activities which most often take place in a grand hall of a cinema. The author holds a position of a director of a one-hall city digital cinema. Therefore, it is not the only goal of this thesis to take a positive view of the issues in the legal sense of the word, but also to confront the legal regulation with the common practice in the field in the way I and my colleagues experience it on a daily basis. As a result I propose some changes regarding the matters in question. Except for the first chapter, the whole thesis deals with the legal relations between a cinema operator and a distributor. The text is related to the actual state of legal affairs by February 4, 2013. The first chapter is concerned in detail with the current terminology of audio-visual work and the people within the scheme of its production.
