The present work shows estimate thermal conductivity for a group of plutonic rocks (dominantly granitic rocks) of part of Borborema Province, and their use as parameter of characterization by different tipology of ediacarans granitoids of Rio Grande do Norte Domain-DRN, NE portion of Borborema Province. For this, the thermal conductivity was obtained by theoretical models (Horai and Baldridge, Hashin Strikman and series model), based on parameters as chemical composition and mineralogy of rocks. Between the tree models used on this study for the group of samples that has experimental data base, the series model was the one that show the more satisfactory results on the reproduction of the experimental conductivity by a estimated conductivity considering a error range of ?10%. From the series model was estimate the thermal conductivities for a group of samples from ediacaran granitoids of DRN, that are grouped on regional literature in six diferents suites: shoshonitic, porphyritic high-K calc-alkaline, equigranular high K calc-alkaline, calc-alkaline, alkaline and charnockitic alkaline. The results obtained shows that this different su?tes could be also differentiated by the thermal conductivity.
