The aim of this thesis is to offer a complete outline of the history of printed media in the region of Domažlice and other towns of this region from the beginning of publishing till the present with the aspects of contemporary trends.

This thesis is dedicated to the primary art school of Jindřich Jindřich in Domažlice. It is divided to five chapters. Firstly, it speaks about the town of Domažlice, especially its history and progress. Secondly, there will be described musical life in Domažlice and its surrounding. Third chapter is focused on the life of the local ethnographer Jindřich Jindřich and his asset to the region of Chodsko. In the next chapter the history of monastic church and other monastic buildings, where the musical school is situated today is portrayed. Follows the description of the musical school in general as well as its particular fields of study.

The pukl, commonly called dudy, is a bellow-blown bagpipe whose origin and development can be traced to older forms known as grosser Bock and polnischer Bock. The instrument is an important feature in the identity of Chodsko, an ethonographic region of West Bohemia. This thesis shows the significance of the pukl in Chodish tradition through its organology, pedagogy, performance practice, and history. Through the novel Psohlavci, Alois Jirásek offered a footing for reinforcement of Chodish traditions. The thesis argues that a succession of makers, performers, teachers, institutions, and events have woven a web of tradition in which the pukl holds a significant position. Supporting evidence is shown from artworks that are visible to the public as well as decoration on the instrument. Selected from the Chodish canon, the beloved song, ‘Zelený hájové’, illustrates the use of the dialect and ornamentation as being indicative of the region. This master thesis deals with history of the city Domažlice in the times of Petr Hana. It means from 1861 to 1905 when he permanently resided there. The thesis is divided into two chapters. The first one is devoted to the period up to 1889 when Petr Hana became a burgomaster. The second one is devoted to the period when he became a mayor. Both parts deal with the political, economic, cultural and social events and point to connection with activities of Petr Hana. It shows importance of this man in their connection with a development of the city and his share on events which took place in the defined period. Specifically in both chapters, I examine elecetions, a governance and city management, unions and their activities, a development of education, an economy and an industry, city institutions and different projects. I try to reveal the character of this period from gathered information. The main sources are, in addition to archival resources available in the Archival of Muzeum of Chodsko and the State Regional Archive in Domažlice, period copies of the local newspaper "Posel od Čerchova" and "Domažlické listy" which enable to capture the atmosphere of the period in this thesis the best.

The aim of my graduation theses is the analysis of spatial planning legislation in the Czech Republic between 1945 and present. In the theoretical part I have explained basic terms and the legal regulation of spatial planning and I have presented individual concepts of spatial planning legislation since 1945. Besides the comparison of the basic concepts of spatial planning, the practical part mainly deals with the analysis of the relation of spatial and strategic plans. I have defined the main differences between these documents and compared whether it is advantageous for the municipality to start with a spatial plan or a strategic plan. Furthermore, I have focused on the creation and the content of the spatial plan of Domažlice, focusing on the compliance of legislation in the area of spatial planning, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of current legislation and the weaknesses of the spatial plan in Domažlice. Finally, I have indicated my own suggestions on how to improve the situation.
