Incidencia de reacciones adversas medicamentosas en pacientes hospitalizados del Servicio de Neumología del Instituto de Salud del Niño en el periodo enero-junio 2006

Se realizó un estudio de tipo descriptivo-longitudinal prospectivo de la incidencia de reacciones adversas a medicamentos en pacientes hospitalizados en el Servicio de Neumología del Instituto de Salud del Niño durante el período enero-junio 2006. Se analizaron 216 casos de pacientes hospitalizados en dicho servicio para determinar la existencia de reacciones adversas a medicamentos (RAM) detectándose 23 casos de RAM obteniéndose una incidencia de 10,65%, presentándose mayormente en pacientes mujeres entre 2-5 años de edad; las reacciones fueron moderadas en el 47,83% de los casos. Los principales grupos terapéuticos implicados fueron: antiinfecciosos generales de uso sistémico (J: 69,56%) y antiinfecciosos vía oral (I: 13,04%); los órganos y sistemas más afectados fueron: la piel y anexos (56,52%) y el sistema gastrointestinal (21,74%). / A descriptive-longitudinal prospective study of incidence of Adverse drug reaction in patients hospitalized in Neumology facility of Child Health Institute from January to June 2006 was carried out. It was analyzed 216 cases of hospitalized patients in that facility during six months in order to determine the existence of adverse drug reactions (ADR's), from those ones, it was detected 23 cases of ADR's, having obtained an incidence of 10,65%, mainly shown in female patients between 2-5 years old ; ADR's were moderate in the 47,83% of the cases. The principal therapeutic groups implied were: systemic general anti-infectious (J: 69,56%), and oral anti-infectious (I: 13,04%) drugs and the organs and systems more affected were: skin and anexes (56,52%) and gastrointestinal system (21,74%).
