Minerafórum : um recurso de apoio para análise qualitativa em fóruns de discussão

Esta tese aborda o desenvolvimento, uso e experimentação do MineraFórum. Trata-se de um recurso para auxiliar o professor na análise qualitativa das contribuições textuais registradas por alunos em fóruns de discussão. A abordagem desta pesquisa envolveu técnicas de mineração de textos utilizando grafos. As interações proporcionadas pelas trocas de mensagens em um fórum de discussão representam uma importante fonte de investigação para o professor. A partir da análise das postagens, o docente pode identificar quais alunos redigiram contribuições textuais que contemplam conceitos relativos ao tema da discussão, e quais discentes não o fizeram. Desta forma, é possível ter subsídios para motivar a discussão dos conceitos importantes que fazem parte do tema em debate. Para atingir o objetivo do presente estudo, foi necessário realizar uma revisão da literatura onde foram abordados temas como: a Educação a Distância (EAD); Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem; os principais conceitos da área de Mineração de Textos e, por último, trabalhos correlacionados a esta tese. A estratégia metodológica utilizada no processo de desenvolvimento do MineraFórum envolveu uma série de etapas: 1) a escolha de uma técnica de mineração de textos adequada às necessidades da pesquisa; 2) verificação da existência de algum software de mineração de textos que auxiliasse o professor a analisar qualitativamente as contribuições em um fórum de discussão; 3) realização de estudos preliminares para avaliar a técnica de mineração escolhida; 4) definição dos indicadores de relevância das mensagens; elaboração de fórmulas para calcular a relevância das postagens; 5) construção do sistema; 6) integração do MineraFórum a três Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem e, por último, 7) a realização de experimentos com a ferramenta. / This thesis presents the development, use and experimentation of the MineraFórum software. It is a resource that can help teachers in doing qualitative analyses of text contributions in discussion forums. This research included the use of text mining techniques with graphs. Message exchange in discussion forums are an important source of investigation for teachers. By analyzing students’ posts, teachers can identify which learners wrote contributions that have concepts related to the debate theme, and which students did not succeed to do so. This strategy may also give teachers the necessary elements to motivate discussion of concepts relevant to the topic being debated. Avaliação do pensamento crítico e da presença cognitiva em fórum de discussão online / Evaluation of critical thinking and cognitive presence in online discussion forum

O número de mensagens nos fóruns educativos online gera uma sobrecarga de informação, que dificulta a organização e a comunicação entre os membros, comprometendo, também, a eficácia do processo de avaliação da aprendizagem. Diante da necessidade de uma solução metodológica para o contexto da EAD no Brasil, realizou-se uma revisão de literatura sobre os modelos de organização e o processo de análise das mensagens que envolvem os indicadores das habilidades da presença cognitiva (Garrison et al. 2001) e o pensamento crítico e a dinâmica do questionamento socrático (Paul, 1993). Propõe-se um novo modelo de fórum intitulado \"Fórum Socrático Cognitivo- FSC\" com uma metodologia de avaliação da presença cognitiva e dos níveis de pensamento crítico dos alunos em cursos superiores online. Os procedimentos metodológicos e o grid de avaliação foram aplicados em duas disciplinas do curso de aperfeiçoamento em EAD em 2011, 2012 e 2013 de uma instituição de ensino superior vinculada a UAB do Brasil. A metodologia adotada envolve os princípios da lexicometria, da análise documentária, textuais e estatísticas, modelos de regressão linear e redes complexas. Realizou-se a análise de 3.400 mensagens postadas por 544 alunos para verificar as relações de dependência entre a variável resposta \"nota\" e as covariáveis: conceitos, categorias de Garrison, tópicos socráticos, riqueza vocabular e sala (tutor). Construíram-se 2 modelos de regressão linear e 136 redes complexas que permitiram confirmar os testes ANOVA utilizados na avaliação de desempenho dos alunos. As covariáveis conceitos, categorias de Garrison e sala apresentaram nível de significância positivo na associação com a nota final do aluno. Considera-se que o modelo FSC contribui para o desenvolvimento das habilidades de expressão e comunicação de conceitos abordados na disciplina e colabora na avaliação do pensamento crítico e da presença cognitiva do aluno nos fóruns online. / The usually large number of posts in educational forums leads to an information overload, which hinders forum organization and communication among members while undermining the effectiveness of learning assessment. Considering the need for a methodological solution applicable to the context of Brazil\'s online distance learning (ODL), there was conducted a review of the literature on organizational models and processes of analysis of messages involving indicators of critical thinking and cognitive presence skills (Garrison et al., 2001) and the Socratic inquiry dynamics (Paul, 1993). This study proposes a new forum model entitled FSC (Cognitive Socratic Forum), which comprises a method for assessing students\' cognitive presence and critical thinking skills in online higher education. The methodological procedures and evaluation grid were applied to two specialization courses on ODL in 2011, 2012, and 2013 at a higher education institution associated with UAB (Brazil\'s Open University). The methodology involved principles of lexicometry, documentary, textual and statistical analysis, linear regression models, and complex networks. Analysis was conducted on 3,400 messages posted by 544 students to investigate dependency relationships between the response variable \'grade\' and the following co-variables: concepts, Garrison\'s categories, Socratic topics, vocabulary richness, and classroom (tutor). Two linear regression models and 136 complex networks were constructed to enable confirmation of ANOVA tests employed to assess student performance in forums. The co-variables concepts, Garrison\'s categories, and classroom displayed positive significance levels when associated to students\' final grades. Therefore, it may be concluded that the proposed FSC model promoted students\' ability to express and communicate the concepts covered in the specialization course and contributed to effectively assessing their cognitive presence and critical thinking skills in online forums.

The master's thesis deals with the role civil society plays in the process of introducing more women into politics. Women are significantly underrepresented in the Czech politics. This situation can be changed by adopting measures to support women in politics. These measures must either be voluntarily adopted by political parties or regulated by law. In order for political parties to recognize the necessity of such measures, they must be pressured by the voters. That is why nongovernmental organizations' activity is needed, as they are able to push interests through and they can inform public as well as cooperate with other subjects in order to achieve their goals. An example of such an organization is the organization Fórum 50 %, whose activities are subject to an analysis in this thesis. The master's thesis is divided into four chapters. The first part of the thesis covers the civil society and interest representation in theory. The second chapter is concerned with the concept of women's political representation, presents statistics of the number of women in Czech politics, identifies the main barriers that prevent women from political participation and introduces the instruments that can help regulate the amount of women in politics. The third chapter depicts female-oriented nongovernmental organizations in the Czech Republic after 1989 and the women's movement development. The last chapter focuses on the analysis of activities of the organization Fórum 50 %.

The thesis also deals with the use of Internet marketing on these social forums. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the survey centered upon the greatest Czech discussion server for women -- Omlazení.cz and carried out in the form of questionnaires. The results of the survey were analyzed and on their basis the effect of individual discussions on the purchase of certain products was revealed.

This thesis entitled‚ Kopřivnice in the process of political changes in 1989/1990' consists of a description and analysis of events connected to the disintegration of the post-totalitarian authoritarian regime in Czechoslovakia and deals with the transition to democracy of the medium-sized North Moravian town, Kopřivnice. My aim is to record not only the course of political changes, but also social and economic development after 17 November 1989. In terms of time, the thesis covers the period from 1986 to the municipal election in November 1990. The first chapter deals with the characteristics of the post-totalitarian authoritarian regime in Czechoslovakia before 1989 and the pre-existing conditions for the subsequent changes which took place in Czechoslovakia and Czech society. The second chapter explains the basic milestones in the history of the town which influenced its development, its population structure and its importance in the regional framework. The third chapter ‚Reflection of Kopřivnice before 17 November 1989' describes the functioning of the town's municipal commitees and their significance in state administration. Sametová revoluce v Náchodě. Její "vítězové" a "poražení" / The Velvet revolution in Nachod. Its "winners" and "losers"

This thesis deals with the problem of the Velvet revolution in a small provincial town called Náchod. My purpose is to describe the political situation before the revolution, during it and after the revolution ended. I used two methods for my research. First of them was regular text analysis of documents in archives and the second source I used was the method of Oral history. Oral history enriches us with knowledge of living witnesses who help us understand reasons, motivations and feelings of people who took part in an important part of our history, which Velvet revolution surely is. To understand them even better I shortly described their life stories and their position during the revolution. I made life story interviews with 4 members of the Czechoslovak Communist Party and with 5 members of the Civic Forum. So we can hear opinions of both considered sides. At the end of the thesis I compared my conclusions with the conclusion doc. PhDr. Lukáš Valeš, Ph.D. made in his dissertation describing Velvet revolution in a small provincial town Klatovy. At the end I came to a conclusion that Velvet revolution changed political status of Czechoslovakia and its economy but the same people remained powerful.

La investigación surgió de la problemática observada en el Colegio Militar “Elías Aguirre” en los cadetes del 4º grado de educación secundaria, donde se evidenció que las sesiones preparadas por las áreas de Desarrollo Personal, ciudadanía y cívica, Educación Religiosa y Tutoría no brindan puntos claros sobre lo que es la persona humana, sus valores, y tienen escaso fundamento antropológico que favorezca la formación de sus virtudes. Por lo antes expuesto la investigación se planteó como objetivo General diseñar un programa de Cine Fórum, para contribuir a la formación de la vivencia del Pudor, de los cadetes del 4° año de secundaria; como alternativa de solución al problema. Para ello fue necesario realizar un diagnóstico para conocer el estado de vivencia de la virtud del pudor en los cadetes. Se aplicaron diferentes técnicas: De gabinete, que son: el fichaje y el subrayado que se utilizaron en el procesamiento de información bibliográfica; las de campo: la observación, un marco Teórico de Referencia y el cuestionario MANERA PERSONAL DE VIVIR EL PUDOR que se aplicó para medir cuál era el estado de vivencia de la virtud del pudor en los cadetes. Este programa propone recursos didácticos para la educación de la virtud en mención. Para concluir, la investigación fue de tipo descriptiva-propositiva porque, se diseñó un programa que propone alternativas de solución. / The investigation arose from the problems observed at the “Elías Aguirre” Military School in the cadets of the 4th grade of secondary education, where it was evident that the sessions prepared by the areas of Personal Development, citizenship and civics, Religious Education and Tutoring do not provide points clear about what the human person is, their values, and have little anthropological foundation that favors the formation of their virtues. Due to the above, the general objective of the research was to design a Film Forum program, to contribute to the formation of the experience of Modesty, of the cadets of the 4th year of secondary school; as an alternative solution to the problem. For this it was necessary to carry out a diagnosis to know the state of experience of the virtue of modesty in the cadets. Different techniques were applied: Office techniques, which are: signing and underlining that were used in the processing of bibliographic information; those in the field: observation, a Theoretical Framework of Reference and the PERSONAL WAY OF LIVING MODESTY questionnaire that was applied to measure the state of experience of the virtue of modesty in the cadets. This program proposes teaching resources for the education of the virtue in question. To conclude, the research was descriptive-propositive because a program was designed that proposes alternative solutions.

Divadlo fórum: možnosti praktického využití při práci s dětmi a mladistvými / Forum theatre: possible applications with children and youth

This diploma thesis deals with the possible applications of the dramatic method called Forum theatre in the work with children and teenagers. The theoretical part is divided in to three chapters and where the first chapter introduces Forum theatre. The second chapter describes the formation of the Theatre of the Oppressed concept, whose main technique is the examined method. The third part provides a detailed description of the method including the aims, rules a principles for the role of a Joker. The second part of the thesis examines the relationship of the method towards the educational system of the Czech Republic. Concretely it deals with the key competences, personal and social education a dramatic education. The aim of this thesis is to map the current state of the usage of the method, to determine who, whit what goals and with what susses uses the method. Than the original concept, developed by Augusto Boal for work with adults is confronted with the currently used variations of this method. Based on this analysis some principles, which might be used in the future practice are set.
