Euroromano poetikos ženklai lietuvių literatūroje (J.Ivanauskaitės „Placebas“) / The specific features of the euronovel in the Lithuanian literature (J.Ivanauskate's 'Placebas')

The theme of this paper is ‘The specific features (the signs of the poeties) of the euronovel in the Lithuanian literature (J. Ivanauskaite’s ‘Placebas’)’. The author of this work shows the impact of modern literature of the western countries on modern Lithuanian literature. As a result of this impact a new genre of the European novel, which has already been popular in the Western Europe in the second half of the XX century, has appeared in modern Lithuanian literature. The purpose of this work is to analyse the possibility of the appearance of the euronovel and what its specific features in the latest Lithuanian prose are. The novel ‘Placebas’ has been chosen as an object of the research because it is one of the most popular modern Lithuanian novels which is also known in Europe. The aims of the author are: 1) to consider the term euronovel, 2) to find ort if we can call the novel ‘Placebas’ a euronovel and, 3) to analyse certain signs of its poetics in the above mentioned novel. This work consists of the foreword, introduce, 2 main parts and conclusion. The first part is a theoretical basis of the work. Both the term euronovel and historic conditions of the appearance of this genre are explained here. A euronovel is a normative genre of modern popular literature and novels writher according to the conditions of the literature market, in the interests of the publisher and reader.
