Energiepolitische Konzepte : Eine Analyse zentraler Begriffe der Energiepolitik und der Konzeptualisierung von Energiewende in den Wahlprogrammen zur Bundestagswahl 2013

Renting, Vibeke January 2013 (has links)
This thesis has investigated how the energy policy positions of the parties currently represented in the German Bundestag are reflected in their language. After the relevant background and methods have been introduced, the thesis continues with a quantitative and a qualitative keyword analysis. The analysis focuses on energy policy in the current election platforms of the five parties to determine the keywords regarding the respective policies, and how the concept of Energiewende is negotiated. As a result of the analysis, it is clear that the ideological positions of the parties are reflected in the keywords used as well as in the conceptualization of Energiewende. The analysis also shows that energy policy is both a question of economic policy and of German identity - for example, Germany as a pioneer and model for other countries. Finally, a consensus on Energiewende and Atomausstieg seems to prevail, even though there is a clear semantic struggle surrounding Energiewende.
