A capacidade de transporte de sedimento pelo fluxo superficial foi representada como uma função potência da tensão cisalhante , a qual revelou ser uma aproximação da equação de Yalin. Esta metodologia simplificada pôde ser aplicada em resultados experimentais oriundos de uma topografia complexa. A equação foi calibrada utilizandose a tensão cisalhante. Testes de validação com dados independentes demonstraram que a equação foi eficiente para estimar Tc. / The objective of the present work was development a routine computational in the solution of the Yalin equation and Shield diagram and to determine a simplified equation for modeling sediment transport capacity. Sediment transport capacity for shallow overland flow was represented as power function of the shear stress hydraulic and an approximation to the yalin equation for sediment transport capacity. The simplified for sediment transport applies to complex topografhy characteristcs. The simplified equation accurately aproximated the yalin equation when calibrated using the average of the hydraulic shear stresses. Validation of independent predicted by the simplified equation showed that the equation had a good performance in predicting sediment transport capacity.
