La constante innovación tecnológica y una cultura de consumismo hacen que las personas cada vez más quieran sustituir los aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos que utilizan por otros más avanzados, lo cual genera que cada año la basura electrónica incremente. En la actualidad mundial se generan aproximadamente 50 millones de toneladas de basura electrónica y lamentablemente una gran parte de esta no es gestionada correctamente ni del todo responsable cuando estos aparatos llegan al final de su vida útil. Si bien la iniciativa y la preocupación nace de un modelo Europeo, en el Perú también existe un reglamento para el manejo de estos aparatos, y el desarrollo cualitativo de nuestra investigación nos ha llevado a conocer cómo es que se está llevando a cabo esta gestión, así como identificar los actores que intervienen y el impacto que tiene el hecho de no tratar estos residuos de la manera correcta. Por otro lado, luego de nuestra investigación también hemos identificado algunas oportunidades de mejora que serán expuestas en nuestras recomendaciones / The constant technological innovation and a culture of consumerism means that people want to replace the electrical and electronic devices that they use by more advanced devices, which means that electronic waste increases every year. Currently around 50 million tons of electronic waste are generated globally and unfortunately a big part of these are not managed correctly or completely responsible when these devices reach the end of their useful life. Although the initiative and the concern are born from an European model, in Peru there is also a regulation for the management of these kind of waste, and the qualitative development of our research has led us know how this management is being carried out, how to identify the actors involved and the impact of not treating this electronic waste in the right way. On the other hand, after our research we have also identified some opportunities to improve this and that will be exposed in our recommendations. / Tesis
