Para esta finalidade, apresenta as concepções e as maneiras de o Ensino do Desenho que foram praticadas nos cursos da Escola de Belas Artes de Pernambuco (EBAP), primeira instituição voltada para a formação artística no Estado de Pernambuco, no período de 1932 a 1946. Para responder a tais objetivos, identificamos o contexto histórico, as políticas públicas e educacionais que programaram o currículo da instituição, as propostas de ensino, o programa das disciplinas e os registros das práticas cotidianas escolar, empregadas na EBAP. Estes procedimentos nos permitiu conhecer os conceitos e maneiras de ensinar o desenho na instituição, no período mencionado. Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida, em grande parte, no Memorial Denis Bernardes, da Biblioteca Central da UFPE, onde se encontra a maioria do conjunto documental da Escola de Belas Artes de Pernambuco. Constam desta coleção documentos tais como: a ata da fundação da escola, atas de frequência dos alunos, livros de assinaturas, relatórios para o Ministério da Educação, entre outros documentos significativos, até a incorporação da instituição ao Centro de Artes e Comunicação (CAC), da UFPE, no final dos anos de 1970. A relevância de estudar os percursos do Ensino do Desenho através do modelo empregado na EBAP, forneceu-nos elucidações dos caminhos percorridos para formação artística no Estado de Pernambuco. Promoveu uma visão de como foram implantados os cursos do Ensino Superior, na área de Arte, que temos atualmente nas graduações que são ofertadas pela UFPE. Portanto, este estudo nos forneceu pistas dos caminhos percorridos para uma concepção de Ensino do Desenho, que num dado momento histórico, segue duas linhas: a formação artística e a formação técnica, no Ensino Superior em Pernambuco. / This research intended to clarify questions on the teaching of drawing as well as to understand the teachers. mindset regarding this field that still persists upon to this day. In order to achieve its goal, this work presents concepts and ways through which the teaching of drawing were carried out in Pernambuco School of Fine Arts (EBAP), the first institution devoted to art education in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, in the period 1932-1946. Thusly, we identified the historical context along with the public and educational policies that compiled the institution.s curriculum also in conjunction with the teaching proposals, the courses program and the records on EBAP.s daily practices. Such actions allowed us to have a closer look at the concepts and ways of teaching drawing within the institution in the appointed period. This research was largely developed at the Memorial Denis Bernardes - Central Library - UFPE, where most of the documents from the Pernambuco School of Fine Arts are kept. Included in this collection are documents such as the minutes of the school.s foundation, students. frequency minutes, signatures. log, reports to the Ministry of Education, and other significant documents, up when, in the late 1970.s, the institution was merged into the Arts and Communication Center (CAC) - UFPE. The relevance of studying the teaching of drawing path through the model used in EBAP, brought up clarifications on the steps taken by the artistic education in the state of Pernambuco. This investigation gave a furtherance vision on how the higher education art courses were implanted in the graduate programs that are currently offered by UFPE (Universidade Federal de Pernambuco). Thence, this study provided us with clues upon the avenues taken towards the development of the teaching of drawing, which in a given historical moment, follows two lines: artistic training and technical training, within the estate of Pernambuco higher education field.
