However, it is important that in the XXI century the Academy deepen research related to social problems. Today, some higher education institutions are seeking greater engagement with needy communities to try to find solutions that align economic development with social issues. In this context, University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR) has developed several projects of social responsibility. One of the projects is the Office of Legal Practice that offers free assistance to residents of needy communities through a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, lawyers, law students and a social worker. The presenting problem is the difficulty in measuring and evaluating the social performance of the referred project due to lack of a way to measure its results. The main objective of this research is to assess the social performance of the Office of Legal Practice, through the analysis of its principles, processes and impacts in the learning process of future graduates in law. The theoretical basis of this study lies mainly in the social performance of the projects developed by corporations and universities. The methods employed are predominantly quantitative, using descriptive statistics in the data analysis. The results showed that the principles and processes adopted by the Office of Legal Practice have a positive impact in the training of future graduates in law. These professionals will be more sensitive to social problems. The research aims to contribute to the studies on measuring the social performance of the projects developed by corporations. The study has limitations due to the use of a non-probabilistic sample consisting of only fifty (50) students and the sole use of descriptive statistics to analyze the data. It is suggested that future researches should examine the impacts generated by the Office of Legal Practice to needy communities as well as the social performances of other social projects. / As universidades nos séculos XIX e XX realizaram estudos importantes para o desenvolvimento econômico e tecnológico. Entretanto, é importante que no século XXI a Academia aprofunde pesquisas relacionadas aos problemas sociais. Hoje, algumas instituições de ensino superior estão procurando um maior engajamento com as comunidades carentes para tentar encontrar soluções que aliem o desenvolvimento econômico com o social. Nesse contexto, a Universidade de Fortaleza (UNIFOR) desenvolve vários projetos de responsabilidade social. Um dos projetos é o Escritório de Prática Jurídica que oferece assistência gratuita aos moradores das comunidades carentes por meio de uma equipe multidisciplinar formada por psicólogos, advogados, estudantes de Direito e um Assistente Social. O problema apresentado é a dificuldade em mensurar e avaliar o desempenho social do referido projeto devido à falta de uma forma padrão de medir seus resultados. O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é avaliar o desempenho social do Escritório de Prática Jurídica, por meio da análise dos seus princípios, processos e impactos na formação dos futuros bacharéis em Direito. A fundamentação teórica da presente do estudo reside principalmente no desempenho social dos projetos desenvolvidos pelas corporações e pelas universidades. Os métodos empregados são predominantemente quantitativos, utilizando-se a estatística descritiva na análise dos dados. Os resultados encontrados revelam que os princípios e processos adotados pelo Escritório de Prática Jurídica impactam de forma positiva para a formação de futuros bacharéis em Direito. Esses profissionais serão mais sensíveis com os problemas sociais. A pesquisa procura contribuir com os estudos sobre a mensuração do desempenho social dos projetos desenvolvidos pelas corporações. O estudo possui limitações decorrentes da utilização de uma amostra não probabilística formada por apenas 50 (cinquenta) alunos e também por utilizar exclusivamente a estatística descritiva na análise dos dados. Sugere-se que futuras pesquisas analisem os impactos gerados pelo Escritório de Prática Jurídica às comunidades carentes, bem como o desempenho social de outros projetos sociais.
