El presente estudio tiene como eje central el tema del desarrollo del pensamiento crítico, para lo cual se indagó en las concepciones docentes. El objetivo general es analizar las concepciones docentes sobre el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico. Este se debe formar desde dos dimensiones: la afectiva y cognitiva. Los objetivos específicos son los siguientes: 1) describir las concepciones docentes sobre el desarrollo de la dimensión cognitiva del pensamiento crítico en estudiantes de un colegio público en la ciudad del Cusco y 2) describir las concepciones docentes sobre el desarrollo de la dimensión afectiva del pensamiento crítico en estudiantes de un colegio en la ciudad del Cusco. El estudio abordado responde al tipo cualitativo; nivel de investigación, descriptivo; método, estudio de caso múltiple. Esto permite abordar y comparar situaciones sui géneris. En tal sentido, el caso, en esta investigación, es de tres docentes quienes tienen a su cargo la enseñanza de asignaturas de nivel superior, además que atienden a estudiantes con un nivel intelectual alto. El colegio está ubicado en la región Cusco. El instrumento utilizado en el recojo de información es la entrevista semiestructurada. Entre los hallazgos más preponderantes, tenemos que hay una necesidad del desarrollo del pensamiento crítico desde ambas dimensiones, también que hay una predominancia de dominio la dimensión cognitiva sobre la afectiva. / The present study has as its central axis the theme of critical thinking development, to achieve that, teaching conceptions were investigated. The general objective is to analyze the teaching conceptions on the development of critical thinking, for whom critical thinking must be formed from two dimensions, the affective and cognitive. The specific objectives are: 1) to describe the teaching conceptions about the development of the cognitive dimension of critical thinking in students of a public school in the city of Cusco and 2) to describe the teaching conceptions about the development of the affective dimension of critical thinking in students of a school in the city of Cusco. The study addressed responds to a qualitative study, level of descriptive research, multiple case study type, which allows addressing sui generis situations, the case in this research is of three teachers who are in charge of teaching subjects of higher level. In addition, to serving students with a high intellectual level, a school located in the Cusco region. The investigation tool used in the collection of information is the semi-structured interview. Among the most preponderant findings is that there is a need for the development of critical thinking from both dimensions, also that there is a dominance of the cognitive dimension over the affective one.
