Buscou-se verificar como a permacultura se expressa e modifica o espaço geográfico visando a alcançar a sustentabilidade, por uma ótica centrada na ética, prezando a mudança de valores, costumes e comportamento perante o planeta, as pessoas e a biodiversidade. A partir do estudo da configuração territorial do Distrito Federal, na sua dimensão rural e urbana, foi possível identificar como as técnicas permaculturais são diferenciadas e preconizam a preservação dos recursos naturais, contribuindo, no DF, para ocupações humanas sustentáveis no bioma cerrado. De fato, a permacultura pode ser aplicada em muitos aspectos da vida moderna, porém, as técnicas são desenvolvidas, principalmente, no âmbito das bioconstruções, energias limpas, agroflorestas e redução do uso e reutilização de materiais. Procurou-se conhecer, também, quem são as pessoas envolvidas nessa rede e que compartilham experiências, promovem cursos com as comunidades e trabalham incessantemente para difundir princípios que consideram fundamentais para melhorar a vida no planeta. Com a pesquisa, foi possível perceber que, provavelmente, a chave para a sustentabilidade esteja em perceber que os objetos, as pessoas, as ações, etc. estão conectados, e é o pensar essa interligação que pode conduzir à sustentabilidade das atividades humanas no espaço geográfico. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work is the product of research conducted about Permaculture in the Federal District, in the light of geographical science. Sought to verify as Permaculture is expressed and modifies the geographical area in order to achieve sustainability, by an optical focusing on ethics, revaluing the change of values, customs and behaviour before the planet, people and biodiversity. From the study of territorial configuration of Distrito Federal in its rural and urban dimension, it was possible to identify the technical permaculturais are differentiated and called for the preservation of natural resources, contributing in DF, for sustainable human occupations in the Cerrado. In fact, Permaculture can be extended in many aspects of modern life, however, the techniques are developed, mainly in the context of bioconstruction, clean energy, agroforest and reducing the use and reuse of materials. It was known, also, who are the people involved in this network of people that share experiences, promote courses with communities and work relentlessly to disseminate the fundamental principles which they consider to improve life on the planet. With the search, it was possible to realize that probably the key to sustainability is to realize that the objects, people, actions, etc. are connected, and that is the thinking that interconnection may lead to the sustainability of human activities in geographical area.
