L'amitié franco polonaise s'est manifestée dans diverses circonstances, et à de nombreuses occasions. Il est toutefois un cas très exceptionnel où elle a été particulièrement appréciée : c'est celui qui, durant toute la guerre, malgré la présence allemande, a permis l'existence du LYCÉE POLONAIS CYPRIEN NORWID de VILLARD-DE-LANS, faisant ainsi de cette école le seul établissement officiel d'enseignement secondaire polonais d'Europe occupée. En Pologne les écoles secondaires étaient interdites. C'est l'histoire de ce lycée, de ses professeurs, que nous vous présentons. C'est aussi celle de l'aide apportée par toute une population, du climat qu'elle a su créer, et de l'amitié qui en est résultée. Nous avons voulu que tout cela soit connu, ou rappelé, après la fermeture du lycée en 1946. / The friendship between France and Poland proved strong in many circumstances and on many occasions. However, it was particularly appreciated in the very exceptional case of the LYCÉE POLONAIS CYPRIEN NORWID de VILLARD-DE-LANS. The continued existence of that school, in spite of the German presence, makes it the only official Polish secondary school in occupied Europe. In Poland secondary schools were strictly forbidden. This work presents the story of that lycée (secondary school) and of its teachers. It tells of the help provided by the whole population, the atmosphere they managed to create and the friendship that developed from it. It was important for all this to be known or recollected, especially after the school closed down in 1946.
