This diploma work aims to invent an algorithm for use of serial interface SGMII (serial gigabit multimedia independent interface) in adaptive embedded data splitter for Gigabit Ethernet standard 1000Base-T interface and also to aplicate these algorithms to FPGA circuit.

International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 18-21, 2004 / Town & Country Resort, San Diego, California / Based on a fourty year experience in Telemetry, acquired on the European Space Program, IN-SNEC company (Zodiac group) has designed a versatile, modular and customable telemetry system for Airbus A380 aircraft program. This Aircraft Telemetry System (TMA-2000) comes with a large set of acquisition boards allowing numerous digital and analog inputs. The major innovation of this system lies in its modularity which allows the user to configure his acquisition chain in function of his monitoring needs and the use of an Ethernet link for its configuration as well as for telemetry output data flow.

This thesis deals with the development problems and creating of the multi- purpose hardware platform, which supports operating system Linux. It is focused on the microprocessors using ARM architecture with architecture ARM7, ARM9 and ARM11. The scope of the first part of this thesis was searching the sales of available 32 bit ARM microprocessors. The second part is attended to a particular Mini2440 development kit, its animation and the subsequent development of the kernel drivers for OS Linux platform. One of this thesis details was also the development of my own expansive hardware module and a capacity keypad for a usage with Mini2440 developmental kit.
