To this aim, proposes to study the distribution and propagation of the species in the forest as well as usual domestication and cultivation practices by smallholder families. It also seeks to understand the difficulties and feasibility of agro-extractive activities, access to forest areas with native açaí palm fruit potential and the complex social relationships that can be barriers or facilities for the insertion of the product in market logic. / A presente pesquisa pretende contribuir para uma melhor compreensão dos aspectos humanos e sociais que determinam a coleta do açaí-da-mata, Euterpe precatória, por famílias rurais estabelecidas no baixo Rio Manacapuru - AM. Para isso, se propõe a estudar a distribuição espacial e formas de propagação natural da espécie na floresta bem como, as formas de domesticação e cultivo praticados pelos agricultores. Também se busca compreender as dificuldades e viabilidade da atividade agro-extrativista, de acesso às áreas florestais com potencial de açaí-da-mata e as complexas relações sociais que podem representar obstáculos ou facilidades para a inserção do produto em uma lógica de mercado.
