Aplikace fuzzy logiky při hodnocení dodavatelů firmy / The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Rating of Suppliers for the Firm

Čecháková, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
This master’s thesis deals with design of models which allows to evaluate different plastic windows suppliers. Suggested model uses fuzzy logic to evaluate suppliers and is used as a support for decision-making. With small modifications, the model can be also used repeatedly. The solution itself is designed by MATLAB and MS Excel programs.

Enhancements of an auto-thrustfunction using fuzzy logic / Förbättring av en dragkraftsregulator med hjälp av suddig logik

Öman Lundin, Gustav January 2014 (has links)
This master's thesis aims to investigate how fuzzy logic can be used to adapt the tuning of a speed control law during certain conditions such as turbulence. The objective is to lower the speed overshoot caused by the auto-thrust function as well as the general engine agitation. The main modifications studied are direct lowering of the closed loop gains, hybridisation and filtering of the longitudinal acceleration estimation. Finally, saturations or limits on the control signal as well as on the coordination with the longitudinal control law are studied in order to cope with the possible consequences of a softer control law. To detect the turbulence, an already existing turbulence detector is used. In addition, a wind gradient detector is designed in order to increase the gain during such wind conditions to counter ramp errors. It is found that a general lowering of the closed loop gain in combination with a slow hybridisation, all proportional to the detected turbulence level, together with a limitation of the coordination gives a satisfactory result. In scenarios including severe turbulence and wind gradients, the forced limits are shown to be indispensable. A conclusion is drawn that the fuzzy tuning is better adapted to turbulent conditions but that the wind gradient detection and the forced limits must be studied further. It is also concluded that the coupling between the closed loop gain and the acceleration hybridisation can be interesting to investigate. Moreover, additional realistic scenarios should be simulated in order to further validate the design. For future studies on the subject; it is recommended that the controller tuning is validated with the help of expert knowledge. Alternatively, the tuning could be handled by an ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System). Finally the tuning of the controller should be validated for a wider range of flight points, most importantly the forced limits since the engine response varies a lot between different points in the flight envelope.

Teleoperated Grasping Using an Upgraded Haptic-Enabled Human-Like Robotic Hand and a CyberTouch Glove

Zhu, Qi 28 September 2020 (has links)
Grasping, the skill to hold objects and tools while doing in-hand manipulation, still is in many cases an unsolvable problem for robotics, but a natural act for humans. An efficient grasping requires not only human-like robotic hands with articulated fingers but also tactile, force, and kinesthetic sensors for the precise control of the forces and motions exerted during the manipulation. As a fully autonomous robotic dexterous manipulation is too difficult to develop for changing and unstructured environments, an alternative approach is to combine the low-level robot computer control with the higher-level perception and task planning abilities of a human operator equipped with an adequate human-computer interface (HCI). This thesis presents theoretical and experimental contributions to the development of an upgraded haptic-enabled anthropomorphic Ring Ada dexterous robotic hand and a biology-inspired synergistic real-time control system for teleoperated grasping of different objects using a CyberTouch HCI data glove. A fuzzy logic controller module was developed to efficiently control the underactuated Ring Ada’ robotic hand during grasping. A machine learning classification system was developed to recognize grasped objects. Experiments have convincingly demonstrated that our novel Ring Ada robotic hand equipped with kinematic position sensors and touch sensors is able to efficiently grasp different lightweight objects through teleoperation.

An Optimization Approach to Employee Scheduling Using Fuzzy Logic

Spence, William G 01 June 2011 (has links) (PDF)
An Optimization Approach to Employee Scheduling Using Fuzzy Logic William G. Spence Selection of sales employees is critical because the sales employees represent the company’s image, competitive advantage, technology, and values. In many service systems the majority of consumer contact is with the sales department. Since there are different types of customers, scheduling quality salespersons who can adequately help consumers may affect revenue. This thesis proposes a new methodology for the scheduling of employees in a service system. The methodology uses Fuzzy Logic to calculate possible sales and Linear Programming to create an optimal schedule. This approach enables the rating of sales employees with respect to three customer’s types (Lookie Lou, Price Shopper and Buyer). The salesperson rating, along with customer arrival distribution is then used to optimize sale person scheduling, with the objective of revenue maximization. The uniqueness of this thesis lies in the combination of Fuzzy Logic and Linear Programming. The combination of these two disciplines provides an adaptive tool that can be used to optimize employee scheduling based on personality traits.
