This diploma work raises the issues and subsequently the diagnostics selected didactis koncept of Students Primary School Teachers. The aim of this work was to find out to what extent the perception of some chosen didactic concepts are related comparing students of pedagogical faculty and primary school teachers. The theoretical part aims to the technical definition of the semantic differential research method and defines of the concepts. In the practical part the data relating to conception didactic concepts were found and processed by method of semantic differential.

Diagnostika pedagogické praxe očima studenta pedagogické fakulty / Diagnostics of pedagogical practise by the pedagogical faculty student´s

MALCOVÁ, Petra January 2010 (has links)
In theoretical part, this thesis is occupied with indiviual components related with pedagogical practice at universities. This theoretical part acquaint the reader with practice, with an impact on a student, with the source of professionalization in the historical developement and with the foreign models of professionalization. In this section, it also acquaints the readers with the fine line of practice with teaching methodology. It illuminates issues in particular faculties. It also pushed ahead educators of teachers, ahead motivation in practice, organization of teaching practice and its evaluation. This part is added on several proposals of dealing the issues. The second part is practical and explorational. This part finds out satisfaction of students with teaching practice at The Faculty of pedagogy in České Budějovice using questionnaires and processes their proposals to improve. The results were graphically processed and accompanied by commentary. The thesis is accompanied by interesting annexes applied on pedagogical practice.

Zmapování profesního osudu absolventů učitelství chemie na Pedagogické fakultě UK v Praze / Mapping professional path of chemistry-teacher training graduates at the Faculty of Education

Mesnerová, Iveta January 2015 (has links)
The thesis topic: Mapping professional path of chemistry-teacher training graduates at the Faculty of Education Abstract: This thesis is analysing current carreers of former chemistry students (absolvents) at the Charles University of Prague, Faculty of Education. The theoretical part is focused on topics such as pedagogic proffesion, pedagogic research, research methods and briefly also to study "Absolvents of the Charles University". The practical part constitutes the research itself. There were 78 graduates of the faculty asked for completion of a questionnaire that was created. The evaluation was performed on the basis of gathered data. After comparing with other, but very similar researches, it was found that research results are almost similar and generally corresponds with current trends. The aim of this study was to look up and get in touch with as many as possible faculty graduates and learn more about their careers. For example, if it was hard to find the corresponding employment in education sphere after their graduation, whether they even teach or how - after practical experience - do they contemplate the teaching profession. Keywords: teaching profession, the usage of graduates, career, chemistry teachers, Charles University in Prague: Faculty of Education, pedagogic research, questionnaire,...

Překážky zlepšování přípravy učitelů: Kvalitativní případová studie Pedagogické fakulty / Obstacles of Improvement in Pregraduate Teacher Education: Qualitative Case Study of Faculty of Education

Lukáš, Richard January 2016 (has links)
Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague Institute of Sociological Studies, Department of Sociology Bc. Richard Lukáš Obstacles of improvement in pre-graduate teacher education: qualitative case study of faculty of education (Master Thesis) Consultant: doc. PhDr. Arnošt Veselý, Ph.D. Prague 2016 Abstract Institutional and organizational context of teacher training on faculties of education is not sociologically well developed topic, even though it is essential topic for the future of society. The goal of this work is to explore where are obstacles of improvement of teacher training on faculties of education in Czech Republic. I answer this question through the case study of a selected Czech faculty of education. I discovered several obstacles of improvement of teacher training by realizing interviews with faculty heads; analyzing the frames, which they use for framing their experiences with the obstacles; and analyzing the institutional context of teacher training on the selected faculty (intervention heuristic investigation). In the institutional view, the main obstacles are several external factors (e.g. state funding, role of Accreditation Commission etc.); specific history of teacher training in Czech Republic; structure of the faulty and organization of the studies there; and the...

Imagery and visualisation characteristics of undergraduate students' thinking processes in learning selected concepts of mathematical analysis

Muzangwa, Jonatan 06 1900 (has links)
The present study investigated imagery and visualisation characteristics of undergraduate students’ thinking processes in learning selected concepts of mathematical analysis. The aim was to discover the nature of images evoked by these undergraduate students and the role of imagery and visualisations when students were solving some selected problems related to mathematical analysis. The study was guided by the theory of registers of semiotic representations. Psychological notions on imagery were also fused to cater for a cognitive approach to the study. A sample of 50 undergraduate mathematics students participated in the study. The researcher employed both quantitative and qualitative methods. Before the main study, a pilot study was conducted to account for the reliability and validity of the research instruments. The data were collected through use of a cognitive test that was composed of 12 tasks with items selected from mathematical analysis. These tasks were specially designed to capture the variables of imagery and visualisations. A structured interview was also conducted as a follow-up to the results of the cognitive test. The study found that visual images were noticeable in the thinking processes of undergraduate students in solving problems related to mathematical analysis. The nature of the visual images evoked by the students varied from person to person. The nature of these images was also determined by the nature of the task. The most common types of imagery were diagrams, prototypes and symbols. On rare occasions the students also evoked metaphoric images. It was also observed that these images were used for illustrative purposes and to spark the idea for a proof. It was also interesting to note that some images were used to discover the limit of a converging series. The results confirmed the need to use visualisation with caution, especially when treating concepts which involve infinity. The study recommends that instructors of mathematics should encourage visual thinking in the learning and teaching of mathematical analysis. Knowledge of the students’ concept images helped the researcher to understand the nature of the learning difficulties of the students. Further research should focus on the strengths and weaknesses of visual-mediated learning and also on the relationship between creativity and visual thinking. / Mathematics Education / D. Phil.
