The area chosen for the study was the city of Assuncão, Western Cariri of Paraiba. The overall objective is to analyze the role of pluriactivity in the constitution of the income of farmers and their implications for diversification, autonomy and family social reproduction. Four assumptions articulate this work, namely: the pluriactivity contributes to the social reproduction of the local family farming; enables the family to provide other resources for agricultural investments in rural establishment; complements the income of the family that has a rural setting in inappropriate conditions for agricultural production and helps boost the local economy by creating a development cycle, since the income earned in these new occupations, is invested in the city itself: trade location and / or other activities. The field research provided the construction of a primary database, through direct observation, conducting 20 semi-structured interviews and application of 20 questionnaires. The documentary research was conducted IBGE, EMATER, Assunção of Rural Workers Union and the Department of Agriculture. Data testified that there is considerable practice of pluriactivity in the city of Assuncão, with a relevant local infrastructure, divided into some productive sectors prevalent as mineral extraction, especially the kaolin processing, work with clay in bricks, the service sector, with absolute predominance in job positions offered by the city. Also worth mentioning, trade and construction. Observed through research that the non-agricultural activities, considered by farmers as temporary and / or complementary, with agriculture the main activity practiced by them. / Este trabalho de pesquisa intitula-se: “Estratégias de reprodução social da agricultura familiar: a pluriatividade no município de Assunção (PB)”. A área escolhida para o estudo foi o município de Assunção, no Cariri Ocidental paraibano. O objetivo geral consiste em analisar o papel da pluriatividade na constituição da renda dos agricultores familiares e suas implicações na diversificação, autonomia e reprodução social familiar. Quatro pressupostos articulam esse trabalho, quais sejam: a pluriatividade contribui para a reprodução social da agricultura familiar local; possibilita a família disponibilizar de outros recursos para os investimentos agropecuários no estabelecimento rural; complementa a renda da família que possui um estabelecimento rural em condições inapropriadas à produção agropecuária e contribui para dinamizar a economia local, criando um ciclo de desenvolvimento, uma vez que a renda obtida, nessas novas ocupações, é investida dentro do próprio município: no comércio local e/ou outras atividades. A pesquisa de campo proporcionou a construção de uma base de dados primários, através da observação direta, da realização de 20 entrevistas semiestruturadas e da aplicação de 20 questionários. A pesquisa documental foi realizada no IBGE, EMATER, Sindicato dos Trabalhadores Rurais de Assunção e Secretaria de Agricultura. Os dados atestaram que há uma considerável prática da pluriatividade no município de Assunção, com uma relevante infraestrutura local, dividida em alguns setores produtivos predominantes como o extrativismo mineral, especialmente, o beneficiamento do caulim, o trabalho com a argila na fabricação de tijolos, o setor de serviços, com predominância absoluta nos postos de trabalhos oferecidos pela Prefeitura Municipal. Ainda merece destaque, o comércio e a construção civil. Observamos através da pesquisa que, as atividades não agrícolas, são consideradas pelos agricultores familiares como passageiras e/ou complementares, sendo a agropecuária a principal atividade praticada por eles.

This diploma thesis Social Capital in Adulthood: Socialization Influences of Family Environment inquired into relation between environment in childhood and social capital in adulthood. At the very first part social capital was delimited according to Coleman's and Bourdieu's conceptualization. Selected characteristics of socialization environment were susequently described with emphasis on discerning of primary and secondary 5 socialization. In empirical part of the text parenting styles and joint activities of parents and children were operationalized. Five indicators of social capital in adulthood were subsequently prepared distinguishing its structural and cultural components. At the concluding part of the text five models of relations were built. As explaining variables were used family social capital, extracurricular activities and years of education. As explained variables were used five measured indicators of social capital: size of weak tie network, highest reachability of socioeconomic status, heterogeneity in the network of three closest friends. In cultural dimension of social capital were modelled influences on trust and tolerance. Analyses presented in empirical part of the text were created using data which came from sociological research Distinction and Values 2008 (SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i.).
