Jag har valt ut 12 st. av de bostadsprojekt som jag arbetat med under de senaste tjugo åren. För dessa projekt gäller att jag som arkitekt har haft ett huvudansvar för hela projektet eller delar av det. Jag inleder min text med reflektioner kring några aspekter som styrt mitt arbete och som gäller för alla de 12 projekten. Jag avslutar med en kort beskrivning av de valda projekten, ett för ett. I grunden anser jag att man inte kan göra skillnad mellan gestaltning av bostäder och andra typer av byggnader. Behoven och funktionerna varierar men det är alltid lika viktigt med en omsorgsfullt gestaltad miljö. Dock är det ofta stor skillnad att arbeta med bostäder i flerfamiljshus jämfört med offentliga eller kommersiella byggnader. I de flesta bostadsprojekt är ekonomin mer pressad och det gäller att tidigt anpassa projektets ekonomi till de förutsättningar som gäller. I min text försöker jag skriva vilka aspekter som är särskilt viktiga vid bostadsplanering. Jag gör också en jämförelse mellan ekonomiska förutsättningar för produktion av bostadsrätter och hyresrätter. Vilka politiska och ekonomiska beslut skulle behövas för att öka produktionen av bostäder och minska bostadsbristen. / I have selected 12 of the housing projects that I worked on for the last twenty years. For these projects, me as an architect has had a primary responsibility for the entire project or parts of it. I start my text with reflections on some aspects which guided my work and apply to all the 12 projects. I conclude with a brief description of the selected projects, one for one. Basically, I believe that you cannot make a difference between the design of housing and other types of buildings. Needs and capabilities will vary, but it's always important to carefully shape the environment. However, it is often a big difference to work with multi-family housing compared to public or commercial buildings. In most residential projects the economy is more pressured. In my text, I try to write what aspects that is particularly important for housing planning. I also do a comparison between the economic conditions for production of condominiums and rental apartments. What political and economic decisions would be needed to increase the production of housing units and reduce the housing shortage?
