Cinema surdo: uma poética pós-fonocêntrica

Bubniak, Fabiana Paula January 2016 (has links)
This work belongs to the cultural studies field called disability studies. The intention here is to relate the concept of phonocentrism created by the French philosopher Jacques Derrida with the notion of audism critiqued by the deaf studies. This study addresses the aesthetic and cultural manifestation of the Deaf through cinema with an emphasis on non-verbal language (film) and also its relation to the verbal language (signing). The deaf community is presented here as a linguistic minority that can use the cinema as a means of political action. The main purpose of this study is to identify the Deaf cinema as a post-phonocentric poetics. To achieve this purpose, we emphasize the importance of the Deaf cinema within the deaf studies field by using the concept of deaf gain. To analyze the mechanisms of voice decentralization in film, we use Michel Chion's concepts relating sound and image: added value, transsensorial perception and relativization of speech. / Submitted by Jovina Laurentino Raimundo (jovina.raimundo@unisul.br) on 2017-10-23T16:59:24Z No. of bitstreams: 1 112576_Fabiana.pdf: 11370441 bytes, checksum: 0dd98ae65d9f29f4b89de2f9d089cf0b (MD5) / Approved for entry into archive by Fabiane dos Santos (fabiane.santos3@unisul.br) on 2017-10-23T16:59:51Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 112576_Fabiana.pdf: 11370441 bytes, checksum: 0dd98ae65d9f29f4b89de2f9d089cf0b (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2017-10-23T16:59:51Z (GMT).
