São aqui descritos materiais de mamíferos pertencentes à Formação Rio Madeira, localidade Araras, Município de Nova Mamoré, Bacia do Abunã, Pleistoceno Superior, Estado de Rondônia. As espécies registradas foram Eremotherium laurillardi (Megatheriidae, Pilosa), Stegomastodon waringi (Gomphotheriidae, Proboscidea), Trigodonops lopesi, e um Toxodontinae indet. (Toxodontidae, Notoungulata). O estudo permitiu corroborar para E. laurillardi a existência de uma porção mastoidea do pétreo na parede posterior do crânio, independente dos processos mastóide (pétreo) e pós-timpânico (esquamosal); observar em T. lopesi a morfologia do P2, não descrita antes. / Here, material of mammals belonging to the Rio Madeira Formation, Araras locality Araras, Nova Mamoré Municipality, Abunã Basin, Upper Pleistocene of Rondônia State.
