Se estudiaron retrospectivamente 6000 pacientes mayores de 60 años, atendidos en el Servicio de Emergencia de la Clínica Geriátrica San José, de la Policía Nacional del Perú, con la finalidad de determinar la frecuencia de patologías por nivel de gravedad y la morbilidad respectiva. Los resultados que se obtuvieron fueron: 4.8% correspondió al Nivel de Gravedad de Emergencia, el 31.1% a Urgencias y 64.1% a Patología Aguda Común. Según Nivel de Gravedad, las enfermedades más frecuentes fueron: para Emergencias, Insuficiencia Respiratoria Aguda (21.32%), Síndrome de dolor Torácico (17.7%) y Sepsis (14.1%), para Urgencias: Crisis Hipertensivas (15.9%), Lumbalgia (13.2%) y Gastroenterocolitis Aguda (11.5%); y para Patología Aguada Común: Faringitis (17.8%), Hipertensión Arterial Controlada (6.7%) y Bronquitis (5.9%). La información obtenida, nos permitirá evaluar las principales necesidades de recursos humanos y materiales de ésta institución policial. / This Study included 6000 patients retrospectly above up 60 years old, which accuded to the saint Joseph Geriatric PNP Clinic’s Emergency Room. In order to determining, the patologies frecuency and which are the severity status and morbility of them. The final conclutions of this study were: 4.8% of patients corresponded at the level of severity Emergencies, 31.1% to Urgencies and 64.1% to Common Acute Pathology. According to level of severity the most illnesses have seen were: for Emergencies, Cases Respiratory Insuficience Acute (21.2%), Thoracic Pain Syndrome (17.7%) and Sepsis (14.1%), for Urgencies: Hipertensive Crisis (15.9%), Lumbalgia (13.2%) and Acute Gastroentercholitis (11.5%), and for Common Acute Patologies: Faringitis (17.8%), Blood Presure Controlled (6.7%), Bronchitis (5.9%). The obtained information, it’ll alow us to evaluate the main necessities of human and material resources for this Policial heath Institution.
