Rosan Aliaga, Silvana Melissa 16 April 2024 (has links)
This artistic research project focuses on reconstructing the story of Félix Puma, an indigenous leader from the community of Umasbamba (Cusco, Perú). He led the demands of his community to the central government between 1920 and 1960. Through family photographs, mixed archives, interviews and field trips, I made the video Soy gente, soy Puma, where I used different materials such as photographs and sounds from the community, archives, the voices of the family and drawings, drafts and silhouettes intervened with light. That is how this research shows us more about an unrecognized leader in the struggle for land, through a collaborative work with the Puma family.
