A pergunta central que norteou o estudo foi a seguinte: quais influências políticas, sociais e culturais subsidiaram a criação e funcionamento do Grupo Escolar Elizeu Campos, entre 1930-1990? Este recorte se justifica porque corresponde ao ano de fundação e início das atividades nesse espaço educativo, bem como o processo de declínio e demolição do prédio do referido objeto de pesquisa. Para responder a indagação central desta pesquisa, procedemos da seguinte forma: a) levantamento historiográfico das instituições escolares no Brasil, com o objetivo de inserir o presente estudo no rol das preocupações desse campo; b) levantamento de pesquisas sobre o município de Mirandiba, para identificar suas vocações econômicas, sociais, culturais e políticas; c) análise de fontes orais, iconográficas e documentais, para compreender as representações dos atores que de alguma maneira participaram direta ou indiretamente da experiência em se ter, oficialmente, o primeiro ambiente escolar no município de Mirandiba, então distrito de São José do Belmonte. A análise permite compreender que na periodização definhada Mirandiba ainda vivia tensões relacionadas às questões étnicos raciais, especialmente porque negros podiam estudar juntos aos brancos, mas eram impedidos de participar das festas de formatura do referido grupo escolar. Além disso, identificam-se que ações antidemocráticas, coronelistas, interferiram nas práticas pedagógicas, ora tradicionalistas, ora intuitivas, no interior do nosso objeto de investigação. / This work is the result of the research developed in the core of theory and history of education concerning Elizeu Campos School, located in the municipality of Mirandiba, backwoods of Pernambuco, and without the scholarship from CAPES would not be possible to your accomplishment. The central question that has guided the study was the following: what political, social and cultural influences subsidized the creation and operation of the School Fields between 1930-1990 Chander? This cut was warranted because it matches the year of Foundation and beginning of the activities in this educational space, as well as the process of decline and demolition of the building of the search object. To answer that question, we proceed as follows: a) school institutions in the historiographical survey Brazil, aiming to enter the present study on the list of concerns; b) survey of research on the municipality of Mirandiba, to identify their vocations, social, cultural and economic policies; c) analysis of iconographic and documentary sources, oral, to understand the representations of the actors who somehow participated directly or indirectly in experience has, officially, the first school in the municipality of Mirandiba, then District of São José do Belmonte. The analysis allows to understand that on periodization weakened Mirandiba still living strains related to ethnic and racial issues, especially because blacks could study together to whites, but were prevented from participating in commemorative events in that School. In addition, they identify that undemocratic actions, coronelistas, interfered in the pedagogical practices, now traditionalists, now intuitive, inside our object of investigation.
