Há, contudo, uma forte demanda mundial para que sejam desenvolvidas novas alternativas de geração, bem como fontes energéticas, dentre as quais se destaca o lixo urbano, na medida em que esse colabora fortemente com a ocupação de áreas economicamente rentáveis, bem como com problemas de ordem social e ambiental quando não devidamente gerenciado. Esta Tese tem por objetivo analisar as perspectivas da geração combinada de eletricidade e vapor em pólos industriais a partir da destruição de resíduos sólidos municipais; para tanto, desenvolve-se uma avaliação das principais formas de deposição do lixo urbano, bem como da cogeração em termos dos sistemas empregados. Foi analisada a legislação ambiental de diversos países, com especial destaque para a política ambiental brasileira, de modo a que fossem observadas as diretrizes de emissões preconizadas em nível mundial e de forma comparativa. Neste item, concluiu-se pela adequada formulação apresentada pela legislação brasileira, que contempla os principais limites de qualidade do ar e de emissão em níveis compatíveis com os que vêm sendo praticados internacionalmente. De modo a subsidiar a modelagem apresentada no corpo da Tese, foi desenvolvido um levantamento acerca das características operacionais e de investimento das principais tecnologias de remoção de poluentes atmosféricos, bem como formas alternativas para "produção limpa" de energia. There is, however, a strong world demand for new generating alternatives, as well as energetic sources, be developed: among them it can be pointed out urban waste, while it contributes strongly for the occupation of economically profitable areas and environmental and with not properly managed social problems. This Thesis aims to analyse the perspectives of electricity and steam combined generation industrial stocks from municipal solid waste destruction; therefore, an evaluation of the main forms of urban waste deposition, as well as the cogeneration in terms of the system used is developed. The environmental legislation for a number of countries, with special emphasis for the Brazilian environmental policy, was analysed , so that the emission guidances preconized at a world summit level and at a comparative level could be observed. In this item, the decision was made for the Brazilian legislation, that contemplates the principal air and emission quality limits at levels consistent with the ones worldwide used. In order to subsidize the modeling presented in this Thesis, a gathering of facts on the operational and investment characteristics of the chief technologies for removing atmospheric pollutants, as well as alternate forms for "clean production" of energy was developed. It was performed a bibliographic revision on the principal models used for the calculation of environmental costs, to allow the development of a formulation on environmental and exergoeconomic basis for the present study, as well as alternative models which, yet not showing environmental utilization, could, that way, be considered with small... Orientador: Rosa Monteiro Paulo / Banca: Carmem Lúcia Brancaglion Passos / Banca: Fabiane Mondini / Resumo: Neste texto apresenta-se a pesquisa desenvolvida com professores que ensinam matemática nos 4º e 5º anos do Ensino Fundamental da rede municipal de Guaratinguetá/ SP, envolvidos em atividades relacionadas ao Cálculo Mental. A pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender o entendimento desses professores sobre o Cálculo Mental. Para conhecer o que dizem os autores de Educação Matemática acerca da formação desses professores, fizemos uma revisão teórica. Analisamos, também, o modo pelo qual as orientações pedagógicas tratam o Cálculo Mental. A partir do que nas leituras se mostrou, elaboramos atividades que pudessem favorecer a discussão sobre o tema com os professores. Estabelecendo uma parceria entre a Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Faculdade de Engenharia, Guaratinguetá e a Secretaria Municipal de Educação, propusemos e oferecemos um curso de extensão para os professores dos 4º e 5º anos do Ensino Fundamental, que estivessem interessados em discutir o Cálculo Mental. Assim, a produção de dados da pesquisa se deu a partir da filmagem e transcrição dos encontros no curso. Na análise dos dados, seguindo o rigor da pesquisa qualitativa de abordagem fenomenológica, voltamos nossa atenção para os modos pelos quais o Cálculo Mental é compreendido pelos professores. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This text presents the research developed with teachers who teach mathematics in the 4th and 5th years of Elementary School of the county network of Guaratinguetá, São Paulo, involved in activities related to Mental Calculation. The research aims to understand the understanding of these teachers on Mental Calculation. To know what the authors of Mathematics Education say about the formation of these teachers, we did a theoretical revision. We also analyze the way in which the pedagogical guidelines deal with Mental Calculation. From what was shown in the readings, we elaborated activities that could favor the discussion about the subject with the teachers. Establishing a partnership between the São Paulo State University (Unesp), Scholl of Engineering, Guaratinguetá and the Department of Education, we proposed and offered an extension course for teachers in the 4th and 5th years of Elementary Education who were interested in discussing Mental Calculation. The data production of the research came from the filming and transcription of the meetings in the course. In the analysis of the data, following the rigor of the qualitative research of phenomenological approach, we turn our attention to the ways in which the Mental Calculation is understood by the teachers. Os dados da pesquisa são oriundos de um grupo de formação continuada de professores de matemática da rede pública estadual de Guaratinguetá, município de São Paulo. No decorrer dos encontros do grupo foram elaboradas e discutidas pelos professores tarefas investigativas de conteúdo matemático que seriam desenvolvidas em sala de aula com o software GeoGebra. Após o planejamento as aulas foram ministradas pelos professores, acompanhadas pela pesquisadora e filmadas. Os vídeos foram editados visando destacar trechos nos quais era possível discutir ações dos alunos. O objetivo da edição foi fazer vídeos curtos que pudessem ser assistidos no grupo de formação oportunizando o diálogo com os professores. As ações no grupo de formação de professores foram conduzidas com base nos Estudos de Aula e o foco era a aprendizagem do aluno ao estar com tecnologia. As discussões no grupo de formação também foram filmadas e o filme foi transcrito pela pesquisadora tornando-se texto aberto à interpretação. Assumindo a pesquisa qualitativa de abordagem fenomenológica, os dados foram analisados e mostrou-se que os professores percebem a produção de conhecimento matemático de seus alunos a partir do modo como eles vêem a atitude/postura (do aluno) para a investigação matemática e para expressar o compreendido a si e ao outro / Abstract: This research aims at investigating how the teacher perceives the student producing mathematical knowledge with technology. The data of the research comes from a continuous education group of mathematic teachers from state public schools in Guaratinguetá, a city in São Paulo state. During the group meetings, it was elaborated and discussed by the teachers investigative tasks of mathematical content that would be developed in the classroom with the GeoGebra software. After planning, the classes were taught by the teachers, accompanied by the researcher and filmed. The videos were edited in order to highlight sections where it was possible to discuss students‟ actions. The purpose of the edition was to make short videos that could be watched in the group meeting, facilitating the dialogue with teachers. The actions in the teacher training group were conducted based on the Lesson Study and the focus was on the student's learning while being with technology. The discussions in the continuous education group were also filmed and the video was transcribed by the researcher, becoming an open to interpretation text.
