Syfte: Att sammanställa forskning rörande vad som, från sjuksköterskans perspektiv, kännetecknar vårdmötet inom somatisk vård med vuxna patienter som har en psykisk utvecklingsstörning.Bakgrund: Personer med psykisk utvecklingsstörning har ökad risk för ohälsa och förväntas söka vård på samma villkor som normalbegåvade personer. Enligt gällande riktlinjer ska sjuksköterskan anpassa vården efter individens förutsättningar och ta särskild hänsyn till utsatta grupper.Metod: Litteraturstudie baserad på analys av systematiskt sökta primärkällor, vilka kvalitetsgranskats och valts utifrån fastställda inklusionskriterier. Resultat: Två grupper med sammanlagt sex teman beskrevs. A: Svårigheter med tema A1: Utmaningar och möjligheter i kommunikationen, A2: Svårigheter och möjligheter i bedömningen av patientens tillstånd, A3: Etisk problematik kring beslutsfattande och informerat samtycke, och A4: Känslor av rädsla och sårbarhet och gruppen B: Behov, med tema B1: Behov av utbildning samt B2: Önskemål om teamwork. Slutsats: Vi ser en diskrepans mellan verklig given omvårdnad och riktlinjer sjuksköterskan har att förhålla sig till. Sjuksköterskor och sjuksköterskestudenter behöver utbildning om psykisk utvecklingsstörning för att kunna leva upp till uppställda krav. / Aim: To describe research concerning the nurse's perspective on health care meetings in somatic care between nurses and adult patients with intellectual disabilities. Background: Persons with intellectual disabilities have an increased risk of illness and is expected to seek health care on the same terms as persons with average intelligence. According to guidelines, the nurse should adapt given care to individual conditions and pay particular attention to vulnerable groups in society. Methods: Literature review based on analysis of systematically sought primary research, quality scrutinized and selected according to defined inclusion criteria.Results: Two groups with a total of six themes were described. A: Difficulties, containing the themes A1: Challenges and possibilities in communication, A2: Difficulties and possibilities in assessing the patient's condition, A3: Ethical concerns relating to decision-making and informed consent, and A4: Feelings of fear and vulnerability and Group B: Needs, with the themes B1: Need for education and B2: Requests for teamwork.Conclusions: We see a difference between given care and guidelines nurses need to follow. Nurses and nursing students need training in the field of intellectual disability to fulfill the requirements.
