Objetivo: Identificar los factores de riesgo de sangrado variceal post profilaxis primaria con endoligadura variceal con bandas más Propanolol en los pacientes cirróticos del Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen. Material y métodos: Se utilizó un diseño observacional, longitudinal, comparativo, prospectivo, identificándose a todos los pacientes cirróticos que recibieron profilaxis primaria con endoligadura variceal con bandas más Propanolol durante el periodo Agosto-Diciembre 2006, los mismos que fueron seguido por un periodo de 6 meses, para luego determinar la incidencia y factores de riesgo de resangrado. / Objective: To identify the risk factors of variceal bleeding post primary prophylaxis with endoscopic variceal band ligation plus Propanolol in the cirrhotics patients at the Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen. Method: An observational, longitudinal, comparative, retrospective design was used, identifying itself to all cirrhotics patients who received primary prophylaxis with endoscopic variceal band ligation plus Propanolol during the August-December 2006, which were followed by 6 months, soon to determine the re-bleeding incidence and risk factors.
